Love Island's Shaughna Phillips reveals boyfriend Billy's sweet bond with their daughters after he missed their eldest's birth while in prison - and they're considering baby number three

Shaughna Phillips has opened up about family life with boyfriend Billy Webb and their daughters Lucia, three, and Sophia, nine months.

The Love Island star didn't have the most conventional start to motherhood, welcoming Lucia while Billy was imprisoned on drug offences, and falling pregnant with Sophia while he was on day release.

Billy was sentenced to nine years in prison in 2023 after pleading guilty to conspiracy to supply 4.5kg of cocaine worth at least £360,000. However, he was released after serving 12 months.

He had been an inmate at a Category D prison, a low security jail where 'low risk' inmates are granted day releases and can leave the site during the date as well as attend education.

Billy's early release allowed him to be there for the birth of Sophia, but Shaughna explained that he had been making up for lost time with Lucia.

Speaking to the Daily Mail, Shaughna shared: 'They're like two peas in a pod, and he often says he can't believe he missed this with Lucia.

'He didn't know what he was missing at the time, but now he's got something to compare it to.'

Shaughna added: 'The most important thing is that Lucia has no idea and won't remember any of it. She's just completely obsessed with him, so I couldn't ask for more.'

She went on to reveal that they're considering a third child, despite insisting she was 'completely done' having children during her pregnancy with Sophia.

Shaughna shared: Thankfully, I've got the coil in so I can't make an impulsive decision!

'But I was booking Sophia into Santa's grotto and had to put down that she'd be one by the time we went. Then it it hit me, once she's one, I don't have a baby anymore.

'So maybe more one day, but not for a few years.

'If I did have another, I'm convinced it'd be a girl. I've accepted my fate, and so has Billy. I'm very much a girl mum; he's very much a girl dad; I wouldn't know what to do with a boy.

'If I had another girl, I'd be over the moon, but I definitely wouldn't go for four.

'I wouldn't have another purely to try for a boy, I'm just lucky I seem to get pregnant as easily as an alley cat, so we'll see!'

For now, the pair are focusing on renovating their home, which has also put a hold on Billy popping the question anytime soon.

'Billy keeps saying he can't buy me the ring I want while the house doesn't even have a roof!' Shaughna laughed. 'He's right, the house is the priority, unless I win the EuroMillions.

'But once you've got kids, there's no commitment like it.

'Without kids, we could get engaged, married, and split up within a month; with kids, you're in it together.

'He's stuck with me now, whether he likes it or not. And honestly, even if it doesn't work out, I'm done with men for life, it's either this or nothing!'

Shaughna also revealed she's been keeping busy working on getting her fitness levels back after welcoming Sophia last October, and is going to the gym three times a week

Shaughna also revealed she's been keeping busy working on getting her fitness levels back after welcoming Sophia last October, and is going to the gym three times a week as well as using her Shred-It Plan.

'I always tell people to take progress pictures because even though I've been going consistently three times a week since February, to my own eye I don't see any difference,' Shaughna explained.

'This second postpartum is kicking my a**, I won't lie. My diet's the real problem; a custard cream hasn't been safe around me since 1995.

'I'll go hard in the gym, then come home and demolish a pack of digestives. Once I sort my diet out, it's over for everyone, but there's no danger of that happening any time soon.'

Shaughna has been documenting her weight loss on her social media, where she vows not to edit her photographs or use filters.

While she has built up a following mainly consisting of kind and likeminded fans, she does get the odd troll in her comments - but she insisted that it doesn't bother her.

She explained: 'I've had a lot of real hardship in my life; my dad was diagnosed with cancer when I was 21 and died when I was 22. When you've been through that, a stranger calling you ugly on Instagram is very minor.

'I always say, if that's the worst thing that's ever happened to you, you've had a pretty good life.

'I've never had it where hundreds of people pile on at once, if I did, I couldn't honestly say I wouldn't care. But with the odd comment here and there, I just think, "grow up."'

'If you go in expecting to come out as the next Molly-Mae Hague, you'll be bitterly disappointed,' Shaughna warned.

'If you go in thinking you'll have a good experience, and treat anything else as a bonus, that's the right mindset.

'If you're expecting millions of pounds and brand deals and it doesn't happen, you'll be devastated, and you're basically expecting ITV to pick up the pieces.

'As long as you're grounded and don't pin your whole life on it, and you've got a good support network of family and friends for when things get heavy, that's what matters.

'I always had friends I could call and say, 'I'm spiralling, please do a mental health check on me,' the people who know you best give you the best aftercare you could ask for.'
