Love Island producer Lifted Entertainment has restructured and hired an entertainment commissioning editor from the BBC, along with making Richard Cowles CEO.
The ITV Studios-owned indie has brought in two creative directors, Stranded on Honeymoon Island comm ed Chantal Boyle, and My Mum, Your Dad EP Ros Coward, who has been working across Lifted’s titles.
Meanwhile, there has been a wealth of promotions. Veteran producer Cowles becomes CEO, with Tom Gould named Chief Content Officer. Jeanette Moffat becomes Director of Production; Mike Spencer-Hayter and Diego Rincón are appointed Directors of Unscripted; Kat Hebden takes on the role of Director of Development and New Business; and Micky Van Praagh becomes Director of On-Screen Talent.
The new structure will introduce two units, one focused on current shows and the other on new business and expanding client base, we are told.
Boyle, who previously exec produced Netflix’s Cheaters: Unfinished Business, has spent the past year in the BBC entertainment commissioning team.
Lifted is one of many entertainment indies owned by ITV Studios. It makes Love Island and its spin-offs, I’m a Celebrity… Get Me Out of Here! and the upcoming The Neighbourhood with Graham Norton for ITV.
Cowles said: “Lifted has grown significantly in recent years in the scale of our slate, the ambition of our ideas and the complexity of what we deliver. This evolution in our structure is about making sure we are set up sustainably for the long term, with the right clarity, leadership and collaboration across the entire business. It strengthens the way our teams work together, protects the shows we make, and gives us the capacity to keep creating bold, original formats for a wide and growing range of partners.”
