Love Island: All Stars' Luca Bish has told how he'd leave the villa if his ex Gemma Owen came in as a bombshell.

The former fish monger, 25, is hoping for another crack at love on the ITV2 dating show, over two years after first finding love with Michael Owen's daughter, 21.

But following their split just months after coming runners up in the show, Luca has hinted that there's no love lost as he joked he'd do a runner if they came face-to-face on the programme.

Speaking to MailOnline and other press ahead of his appearance in the new series, Luca quipped: 'I'd walk out! when asked how he'd feel if the influencer strolled through the doors.

Emphasising his point, he then joked: 'I'd probably say "I'm a Love Islander, get me out of here!"'

However, he seemingly wouldn't have an issue if she wanted to return to the show for her own chance of love, adding: 'I'd back her all the way and just hope she has a better experience than last time.'

But while his fellow islanders including Marcel and Gabby have hinted at a possible reconciliation with their ex, Luca insisted that there's no going back for himself and Gemma.

He remarked: 'No, you can read a book twice but the ending never changes. That's how I look at stuff like that. Sorry Gemma!'

It comes amid claims Gemma is dreading Luca will talk about the breakup on the show - which will once again be hosted by presenter Maya Jama.

A source told The Sun: 'This is the last thing Gemma wants because in the last year she's tried to keep her personal life private.

'Their break-up was shrouded in secrecy and neither has discussed it, but it did not end well.

'He hinted he was blindsided by the break-up when she posted it online and this is his time to spill the beans.'

ITV has been contacted by MailOnline for comment.

Luca was accused by some viewers of controlling behaviour towards Gemma during their time on the show.

After they returned to the UK he apologised for some of his actions and revealed he 'didn't recognise himself' when looking back at himself on TV.

He was accused of misogyny and 'controlling behaviour' towards the then 19-year-old with viewers even complaining to Ofcom.

Speaking to Grazia magazine after the show he said: 'She's a strong woman so she would never let herself be in a situation like that.'

Agreeing that his behaviour was controlling, he went on to say: 'There are parts where I'm thinking this is not how I behave on the outside world. Why did I do that?'.

Luca, who finished in second place with Gemma, went on to tell the publication: 'When you feel so strongly for someone and then you're still getting put in situations because they [producers] are making us do challenges, throwing new people in there to play with your emotions and your feelings - I'd genuinely just had enough of it.'

He went on to say that his emotions were heightened during his time on the show as he began to fall in love with brunette beauty Gemma.

Love Island: All Stars returns Monday 13th January at 9pm on ITV2 and ITVX.
