Love Is Blind: Germany wrapped up its first season, which took the viewers through a rollercoaster of emotions, and now it's time to look at which couples have stood the test of time. The reality series premiered on January 3, 2025, introducing 30 singles from Germany ready to give love a chance through the unconventional method. Love Is Blind: Germany season 1 explored whether the emotional connections in the pods could triumph over life's challenges. The series was hosted by German power couple Stephanie "Steffi" Brungs and Christian Wacker.
Love Is Blind: Germany followed a similar format to the original Love Is Blind, where the participants date in the pods. Once the connections were formed, six couples left the Love Is Blind: Germany pods engaged. However, the journey wasn't without drama. Despite forming a meaningful connection in the pods, Sally and Medina, for instance, had an awkward first-time meeting, prompting Sally to leave the experiment abruptly. However, the pair later reconnected after other the couples returned from their vacation in Greece. With the season over and an eventful Love Is Blind: Germany reunion aired, these are the couples who are still together.
Hanni Hase & Daniel Rocco
They Have A Complicated Relationship
Hanni Hase, a 27-year-old real estate agent, and Daniel Rocco got along well when they connected on the pods. Daniel presented his dry humor early on in their conversation, keeping Hanni excited about their dates. However, this Love Is Blind: Germany duo soon found themselves in a Love Is Blind love triangle when Hanni began flirting with a different cast member, Ilias Pappas—even though she and Daniel were already engaged.
During the couples' gateway in Greece, Hanni made it clear how strong her connection with Ilias was. Later, when the Love Is Blind: Germany cast members reunited for the first time, Hanni came face to face with her former flame. The two had multiple private conversations, which left their partners feeling uneasy. Their chemistry was undeniable, with Ilias even acknowledging this in one of his confessionals.
"I'd be lying if I said I wasn't happy to see Hanni today. With her, I feel like we communicate with our eyes."
Although Hanni said no to Daniel at the altar, Daniel confirmed that there was no love lost between them. Some participants, including Jennifer "Jen" Zengel, Alina Rothbauer, and Ilias Pappas, accused Hanni of badmouthing Daniel during their time on the show. Alina accused Hanni of calling Daniel a "loser" and a "puppy," accusations she vehemently denied.
Sally & Medina
They Are Friends
Sally and Medina had a tumultuous relationship on Love Is Blind: Germany. After connecting on the pods and getting engaged, the physical meetup didn't go as expected. Sally was disappointed at the reveal and ended up leaving the experience. However, the couple reconnected and even walked down the aisle, as shown in Medina's reflective video. Sadly, Sally said no at the altar, a decision that hurt Medina. At the Love Is Blind: Germany reunion, the twosome confirmed they had a brief relationship after the show but have since split.
Jennifer "Jen" Zengel & Marcel Braun
Not Together
Jennifer "Jen" Zengel and Marcel Braun connected over spirituality and meditation, making it easy for the two to open up about their past traumas. For instance, Marcel shared how growing up in a foster home was a challenging experience that shaped his adult life. Meanwhile, Jen spoke candidly about her previous relationships, including the mistreatment she had endured from a previous ex-partner who left her broken.
One of their standout moments was when they comfortably sat in silence together, finding peace in each other's presence. However, things changed when the Love Is Blind couple met face-to-face. Although they initially seemed happy with their connection, Marcel started acknowledging their differences during their Greece trip. Just a few days before their wedding, Jen and Marcel parted ways.

Jen expressed she felt unsupported and was emotionally drained. Marcel's efforts to salvage the situation bore no fruit. During the reunion, Steffi, the Love Is Blind: Germany host revealed an unaired clip of the two using an astrological app to access their compatibility. The test showed they had some incompatibilities, which could have fueled their decision to split before the wedding. Jen and Marcel don't seem like they will ever rekindle their relationship.
Shella Oire & Pascal
They Are In A Better Space
Shella Oire and Pascal formed a strong connection in the pods, bonding over their shared interests and values. The Love Is Blind: Germany couple got engaged and enjoyed a honeymoon in Crete, Greece, before things began to unravel. Shella felt Pascal was dismissive of her emotions. On the other hand, Pascal admitted to the guys that he was "treading water a bit," explaining he no longer felt the same way as he did in the pods.
It wasn't surprising when the two decided to split, leaving Shella broken. At the reunion, Shella opened up about how devastated she was when Pascal ended things. However, Pascal explained why he chose to end the experiment early rather than risk hurting her further at the altar. Despite their breakup, Pascal and Shella seemed cordial at the reunion. They both expressed gratitude for the experience and showed there were no hard feelings between them.
Tolga & Shila Hemati
Tolga Wasn't Ready To Commit
While Tolga and Shila Hemati got engaged on Love Is Blind: Germany, the couple didn't see the experiment through, choosing to break up midway through the show. Tolga revealed he felt suffocated in his relationship with Shila, which foreshadowed their decision not to continue with the Love Is Blind stint. He repeatedly compared his relationship to "prison," making their dynamic uncomfortable to watch.
The two officially broke up while still in Greece. Afterward, Tolga reconnected with his old flame from Love Is Blind, Hannah. However, things didn't work out with these two, either. During the reunion, the former lovebirds, Tolga and Shila, spoke about their feelings, with Tolga admitting he was working on himself to be a better person. Meanwhile, Shila seemed to have moved on and ready to explore her next chapter—one excluding Tolga.
Alina Rothbauer & Ilias Pappas
They Are Still Happily Married
Alina Rothbauer and Ilias Pappas had an incredible connection and stepped out of the experiment a bit hopeful. However, things took a different turn during their honeymoon in Greece when Ilias crossed paths with Hanni, his other pod connection. It quickly became clear Hanni and Ilias had a strong mutual attraction.
Despite a few disagreements about Illias' bond with Hanni, Alina and Ilias went ahead with their wedding, becoming the most surprising couple to exchange vows. During the Love Is Blind: Germany reunion, the pair revealed they had been married for a year and are still going strong. The episode offered a glimpse of their journey as husband and wife over the past year, showing the cute little moments they'd spent together and how close they had gotten.
