Louis Walsh has revealed he had a 'mini heart attack' during his appearance on Celebrity Big Brother.
The Irish pop manager, 74, detailed his regrets of going on the show while he was suffering with 'anxiety problems' but credited ITV medics for taking care of him.
Louis has previously admitted he only went on the show for the hefty paycheck he was due to receive, which was reported to be close to £850,000.
However, Louis has now shared that appearing on the show was a 'big mistake' as his doctor believes he suffered a heart attack.
Speaking on The 2 Johnnies podcast this week, Louis said: 'I thought it was going to be fun. It wasn't fun. I had anxiety problems and I had to get the medics.
'My doctor thinks I had a minor heart attack. I couldn't sleep at night times and we were all locked in and it was dark and I'd try and get out.
'They let me out a few times to have a cup of tea. They looked after me very well but it was a big mistake. I did it for the money but I shouldn't have.'

Louis added: 'Now I had Sharon Osbourne in there too but she was not in a good place either. We did it for the money, we're like hookers... television hookers.'
After his stint on Celebrity Big Brother, Louis said he has ruled out appearing on Simon Cowell's alleged X Factor reboot.
He said: 'I won't be doing it as I am probably too old. The money is good, they pay well but I don't think he will ask me.
'I don't know who they would get. Sharon and Nicole Scherzinger would be good. I was so nervous being on that show as Simon is a big personality and so is Sharon.
'I once had to judge Kelly Osbourne on Radio 1 and said when she sang Papa Don't Preach it was absolute s***e.
'She was not happy. She put me in my place. But I still stand by it, it was a s**t record.'
The X Factor pulled in 19 million viewers during its heyday and saw contestants such as Leona Lewis and One Direction become household names.
After 15 series, it was shelved by ITV and went on to have two spin-off series X Factor: Celebrity and X Factor: The Band.

Last month it was said that head judge Simon is likely to return to the show in some sort of capacity.
Insiders claim the broadcaster is keen on bringing it back with a revamp after new shows The Neighbourhood and The Fortune Hotel were panned.
A source told The Sun: 'ITV have a giant gaping hole that needs filling in its entertainment schedule, particularly over weekends when bigger viewing figures are up for grabs.
'ITV can’t afford another disaster after the car crash of The Neighbourhood, which was colossally expensive and failed terribly. Rather than creating more flop formats they have the opportunity to give The X Factor, a sure-fire hit, a modern makeover.
'They can explore a younger, fresher panel, with new faces and have Cowell behind the scenes. The plan is for the show’s return to take on a new life and be updated to envelop social media generation.'
