Lorcana Attack of the Vine! TCG Showcases Iconic Disney Team Ups – Exclusive

The newest Disney Lorcana expansion set, Attack of the Vine!, is set to have an early release on July 17 at local games stores with a wide release on July 24th. With that said, we’re exclusively revealing six new cards showcasing the set’s new team up theme, Woody & Buzzlightyear, Pocahontas & Meeko, Darkwing Duck & Launchpad, Sulley & Boo, Peter Pan & Tinker Bell, and of course the famous Disney duo themselves, Mickey & Minnie Mouse.

Disney Lorcana continues to feature Pixar characters from their introduction last set, but we’re also seeing familiar faces with these new powerful Team cards. Alongside some high ink costs, these team cards are also dual ink which means they can only be added to certain decks. On top of this limitation, the cards can shift from specific characters and there’s only so many characters in certain ink colors. Considering all these factors, these Team cards have to be very strong to warrant using.

For instance, the Woody & Buzz Lightyear team card can potentially draw more cards on play and also play 2 or less cost cards for free when questing. That’s any card! There’s also the Peter Pan & Tinker Bell card that gives the owner’s characters Evasive, and players know how much Amethyst/Purple love their evasiveness.

We also have a glimpse of more unique ways to shift with the team cards Sulley & Boo and Mickey & Minnie Mouse. Sulley & Boo, for example, gets to shift on top of either a Sulley, Boo, or both at the same time with Combo Shift. The reason for this is their ability, The Power of Friendship, which allows the characters underneath the shifted card to return to the field instead of staying in the discard as usual. Mickey & Minnie Mouse also have a new shift called Duo Shift which requires both characters on the field to shift into their powerful team card. We’ve seen different shifts before with Universal Shift and Puppy Shift which had broader requirements, so some of these new additions only cement how powerful these cards can be in the upcoming meta.

Disney Lorcana Attack of the Vine! is the 13th set adding new classifications like Team and Vineling alongside further support for older ones like Hunny. Of course, we’ll be graced with even more beautiful full art cards that any Disney fan can adore like the Pocahontas & Meeko card revealed here.
