Last year in January, the singer proudly announced that she had achieved her weight loss goal.
On Instagram at the time, she shared: 'I did it. Today when I stepped on my scale, I reached my weight release goal.
'I haven't seen this number since 2014! Let this be a reminder you can do anything you put your mind to. Time for new goals!'
During an episode of the On Purpose With Jay Shetty podcast, Lizzo explained how she uses the term 'weight release' instead of weight loss.
'I want to be very intentional with the words that come out of my mouth,' she expressed.
'Because there's young people who are watching me and they're experiencing what I'm putting into the world and they're applying to their own experience and their own life like I did when I was a kid.'
The Grammy winner continued, 'I saw how the media treated people who gained and lost weight and how that affected my brain chemistry.'

And during a conversation with the New York Times, Lizzo told the outlet, 'I've been methodical, losing weight very slowly.'
In regards to shedding pounds, the star admitted, 'I don't really see it because if anyone who's on a natural weight-loss journey knows, losing weight is actually the slowest thing in the world and you don't really notice it until you notice it.'
The performer also admitted last year on the Just Trish podcast to trying out Ozempic and other GLP-1 medication to aid in her weight loss journey - but added that she no longer uses the drugs.
'I've tried everything. It's just the science, for me, calories in vs. calories out. Ozempic works because you eat less food,' Lizzo said.
'It makes you feel full. So, if you can just do that on your own and get mind-over-matter, it's the same.'
She then explained how she maintains her weight loss without the help of Ozempic - such as exercise and focusing on a non-vegan diet.
'So for me, when I actually started eating whole foods and eating like beef and chicken and fish, I was actually full.
