Lindy Klim takes aim at ex-husband Michael on social media and claims he 'jetted off to Bali' instead of spending time with their kids during the school holidays

Lindy Klim has taken aim at her Olympian ex-husband Michael on social media, claiming that he chose to holiday in Bali instead of spending time with their kids during the school holidays.

The Balinese model, 46, recently shared a post to Instagram in which she claimed that she had to take care of the three children she shares with Michael, 48, after he 'didn't pick them up' as planned.

'It wasn't the plan to have the kids over the school holidays, but things changed when their dad didn't pick them up for his custody time and went to Bali instead,' Lindy began.

'I hadn't organised big plans since I wasn't expecting to have them, but Melbourne turned into a relaxed, enjoyable time. We marked several milestones. 

'Rocco got his first car, earned his license, completed his swim course, and started his first coaching job. The girls and I enjoyed time in the country, explored Melbourne's varying weather... kept things cosy with plenty of home cooking.'

Lindy shared a gallery of photos of her spending quality time with her three children and provided some additional context in the comments, adding that Michael offered to take the kids to Bali with him, but they chose to stay in Melbourne.

'They were asked but they wanted to stay in Australia. It was more the fact he went anyway even though the holidays are "his time" with the kids!' Lindy added.

'Imagine the luxury of just doing what you want.' 

Daily Mail has approached Michael Klim for comment. 

Lindy also spoke about the financial pressures of entertaining children during this time.

'Holidays are so expensive. It's also the 24-hour open kitchen and extra washing that kills me,' she said. 'The amount of trips I've had to cancel myself or maxed out my credit card to bring the kids with me is unbelievable.'

The Olympic gold medallist married Lindy in April 2006 before parting ways in February 2016. 

They share three children: Stella, 19, Rocco, 17, and Frankie, 14.

Lindy is currently engaged to her partner Paul Mullert and Michael to his fiancée Michelle Owen.

She lived in Bali, her late father's homeland, for 14 years before relocating back to Australia with her children last year. 

Lindy debuted her new romance in February last year at the LIV Golf tournament in Adelaide, just months after her shock split from her second husband, Adam Ellis, with whom she shares daughter Goldie, eight.

The Aussie socialite previously confirmed to Daily Mail she is dating businessman Paul.

'He's just a normal, nice guy. We've been seeing each other for a few months and just taking it slow,' Lindy said. 'This is a nice little intro into my world.'

Paul was born and raised in Perth and was a childhood friend of the late Aussie actor Heath Ledger.

Lindy also revealed the surprising way they met: 'Paul's sister lives in Bali and she said you should go on a date with my brother. It's been amazing back in Melbourne.'
