Lindy Klim has revealed her daughter Stella suffered a terrifying accident in Bali after experiencing a seizure while riding on the back of a motorbike.

The Australian model, 48, shared the frightening ordeal with her Instagram followers on Sunday, explaining the 19-year-old had fallen from the bike and been left badly grazed after the seizure struck without warning.

Posting a confronting image of Stella's injuries, Lindy revealed her daughter had escaped far more serious harm.

'Scariest few minutes of my life,' she wrote.

'She had a seizure on the back of the bike and came off pretty banged up - gravel rash everywhere.

'But she's okay, and it could've been so much worse. So grateful.'

A second image showed Stella lying on a bed as two medical workers tended to her following the accident.

Lindy explained she had been just minutes behind her daughter when the incident unfolded.

'My poor baby suffered another seizure while on the back of a motorbike luckily she was wearing her helmet and I was two minutes behind her and found her on the side of the road...' she wrote.

Despite the accident, Stella later managed to join her family for the sunset in Bali.

Sharing a photograph of the group walking through a picturesque resort at dusk, Lindy praised her daughter's resilience.

'She's such a trooper. She didn't want to miss Sunset so here we are at the most special place,' she wrote.

The frightening accident comes less than a week after Stella shared an emotional update about living with epilepsy and revealed she had recently experienced her longest seizure-free period since her diagnosis.

The aspiring model, whose father is Olympic swimming champion Michael Klim, told followers last Tuesday she had gone 'just over two months' without experiencing a seizure.

However, Stella admitted the psychological impact of the condition had been much harder to shake.

'The seizure ended and I recovered, but the fear of it potentially happening again definitely did not,' she said.

The teenager revealed her anxiety became so severe that she stopped participating in many of the activities she once loved.

'I stopped doing all the things I love. I was turning down jobs. Didn't even feel like putting on a cute outfit. I stopped seeing friends. I stopped replying to friends. I started cancelling, which is unheard of. I lost all motivation. I've lost all confidence,' she said.

Stella also described developing an intense fear that she could be experiencing seizures without even realising it.

'I'd be home alone and be like, "Oh, I've had a seizure for sure" - I had this paranoia of being like, "Oh my God, am I having seizures every day, all day, and people aren't telling me because I can't remember anything?"'

She said the anxiety eventually led her to view her home as her safest environment and rely heavily on her boyfriend Munro, her family and close friends for support.

Stella has been back in Bali, where she has spent much of her life after moving there with her family around 15 years ago.

She said she had been gradually learning how to live with her diagnosis.

'I do know I will not be the same person I was before I got diagnosed with epilepsy,' she said.

But the young model added she was determined to regain her confidence and independence.

She said she was 'slowly trying to find that girl' who wanted to create, travel, work and say yes to opportunities again.
