Lindsie Chrisley declares she is celibate... after boyfriend's aggravated assault arrest

4 weeks ago 27

Lindsie Chrisley has taken a 365-day vow of celibacy.

The 36-year-old former reality TV star called the decision the 'healthiest thing in this moment that I could do' on Thursday's episode of her podcast The Southern Tea

Amid her abstinence, she emphasized that she won't be 'having conversations with any man.'

And the former Chrisley Knows Best star said that to ensure she goes a full year without sex: 'I'm marking it down on a calendar.'

The revelation comes just over one month after her then-boyfriend David Landsman was arrested for aggravated assault and accused of strangling her.

She was married to Will Campbell, with whom she shares 13-year-old son Jackson, from 2012-2021.

Elsewhere in the episode, titled A 365-Day Promise, Chrisley discussed the balance she formed with her ex-husband.

The exes met in 2009 while studying at Georgia State University.

'I was with Will for so long – I mean, 12 years is a long time and we knew each other from so many different times of life, seasons of life,' she said.

'Will knew when we were married like, "Okay, if there are two doors closed, it's because Lindsie is trying to have privacy and she's trying to take a poop. Like, I'm gonna leave her alone."

'And when we had Jackson, it's like, "She wants to do the morning bottle or the morning breastfeeding by herself. I'm gonna go ahead and go take my shower."'

She explained to listeners, 'Those are all things that I'm like, will I ever be able to learn that with another partner? The answer right now is no.'

The blonde internet personality admitted, 'I am not prepared. At 36, it does feel like the middle of my life and I truly don't think that I could endure any more trauma than what I've already gone through.'

She predicted: 'I feel like God's not going to do that to me. He's like, "Okay. I gave you all that you need to handle, and now we're going to go into a healing state."'

The mom of one went on to say, 'I want to be a wife. I want to be somebody's life partner. I want to raise kids with someone. I want to have the home life. I wanna have dinner at night every night at a kitchen table.

'I want to do all of that stuff, and so sometimes I feel like I pour into situations that aren't deserving of it yet and that's something that I'm learning.'

She noted about her celibacy, 'I just feel accountable by putting that countdown out there,' calling it a 'big step for me to just say, "Hey, guess what? This is the decision that I've made and this is the decision that I am sticking to – and no one can talk me out of it.'

Last month Landsman accused her of hitting him in the face in a 911 call he made to authorities in Georgia. He was heard claiming Chrisley assaulted him in audio obtained by TMZ from the Cherokee Sheriff's Office.

He said his then-girlfriend caused him to bleed before departing his home in her Lexus. 'My girlfriend just broke in my house – I was asleep and she started beating my f***ing ass,' he told an operator.

Landsman declined emergency services, saying he wasn't going to touch his bloody face so authorities could properly take inventory of his injuries.

However, Chrisley told law enforcement Landsman grabbed her neck with 'one hand and held her up so that her feet were off the ground.'

According to an arrest report attached to an April 13 court filing, she requested a restraining order against Landsman, per TMZ.

Chrisley told officers that she struck Landsman in the head near his eyebrow to separate herself from him physically, according to the legal docs.

Landsman's behavior had grown menacing and intimidating toward her after their split following two years together, Chrisley said in her April court filing.
