Lindsay Lohan reprised her beloved Parent Trap characters Hallie and Annie in a fun new Instagram post.

On Sunday, the 40-year-old former child star briefly transformed into the twins to mark their 40th birthday.

As Annie, she wore her long, blonde hair down and wore a pale yellow sweater as she said in a British accent, 'Hi Hallie. Happy birthday. You know it’s October 11?'

The video then cut to Lohan as Hallie, with her hair pulled back as she sported a grey crew neck sweatshirt.

'Annie you’re so funny, of course I know it’s October 11,' she said as she switched to an American accent. 'Happy birthday, sis.'

The actress captioned the reel, 'Happy Birthday Hallie & Annie!'

The snippet was accompanied by the 1988 song There She Goes by The La’s, which was featured on the 1998 movie's soundtrack.

Elaine Hendrix, who played Meredith Blake in the comedy, commented on the post, 'Happy Birthday.'

At age 12, Lohan rose to fame as she starred as long-separated twins who hatch a plan to reignite the romance between their divorced mother (Natasha Richardson) and father (Dennis Quaid).

Hendrix played the father's gold-digging girlfriend, while Lisa Ann Walter held a supporting role as his housekeeper.

Earlier this month, Lohan also revisited another one of her famous movie characters – Cady Heron from Mean Girls.

She reenacted a scene from the high school comedy in which her love interest Aaron Samuels, played by Jonathan Bennett, asks her for the date on October 3rd.

These days, the Hollywood vet balances her career with marriage and motherhood.

This past April she celebrated her fourth wedding anniversary with husband Bader Shammas.

She took to Instagram Stories to mark the occasion, sharing a snap with Shammas as she wrapped an arm around him at the New York City restaurant Bourbon Steak.

The actress captioned the reel, 'Happy Birthday Hallie & Annie!'

'Happy Anniversary to my one and only,' the proud wife gushed before adding a string of gleeful emojis.

In November 2021, the Herbie: Fully Loaded actress took to Instagram to announce her engagement to Shammas.

She showed off her diamond ring as she posed with her then-fiancé, writing in the caption: 'My love. My life. My family. My future.'

Lohan and Shammas quietly tied the knot in April 2022 and didn't publicly reveal the news until that July.

The actress announced the life update by casually referring to her beau as her 'husband' in an Instagram message that she posted on her 36th birthday.

The couple welcomed son Luai, whose face they keep private, in July 2023.

Earlier this year, Lohan filmed Count My Lies, in which she stars alongside Shailene Woodley.

The limited series marks her first leading TV role.

As well as playing the main roles, both actresses also serve as executive producers, according to Deadline.

The psychological thriller is based on the recently published novel of the same name, written by Sophie Stava.
