Linda Nolan was left 'howling' after it was claimed that The Nolans were to support Oasis on tour.

The former Celebrity Big Brother star, 65, shot to fame alongside her sisters Anne, Coleen, Bernie - who passed away in 2013 following a battle with cancer - Denise and Maureen and their best-selling single to date is I'm In The Mood For Dancing.

But when pranksters edited the band's Wikipedia page to declare that the 1970s group will be supporting Oasis on their much-anticipated tour next year, she saw the funny side.

Linda wrote on X/Twitter: 'This has made me HOWL… Who edited our Wikipedia page?'

Linda confirmed that she and her sisters have not been asked to fill the slot on the stadium tour, but that the mother of the feuding brothers is a fan of the girl group and Noel once had to stop Loose Women legend Coleen at a station to tell her.

She added: 'Definitely haven’t been asked, but have a great time

'Fun fact: Liam and Noel’s mum is a Nolans fan! Noel once stopped Coleen at Euston Station, as he said his mum would kill him if he didn’t say hi to her.'

The Nolans first found fame as The Nolan Sisters in their hometown of Blackpool after performing in working men's clubs and began releasing albums in 1974.

As well as their biggest hit, some other successful singles included Gotta Pull Myself Together, Who's Gonna Rock You and Chemistry.

The group called it quits in 1994 and the sisters went on to find success in musical theatre, with three of them going on to play the starring role of Mrs Johnstone in Blood Brothers.

Youngest member Coleen, 59, has been a regular on Loose Women since 2000 and recently embarked on her first solo concert tour

They got back together, without Anne, for a reunion tour in 2009, and then again for a reality show in 2020.

She was left fighting back tears earlier this week as she begged cancer to 'leave her family alone'.

Appearing on GMB on Thursday, Linda revealed that she is being set on a new course of chemotherapy as a result of the update - and shared the news that she could face losing her hair for the fifth time.

Linda's sisters also have a history of cancer, with herself, Coleen and Anne all receiving diagnoses  in the past.
