Lily Allen brought her very public marriage breakdown to the stage on Wednesday night as she kicked off the Melbourne leg of her West End Girl tour – and one fan became a little too enthusiastic.
The English singer, 41, performed the first of two shows at Rod Laver Arena, delivering an hour-long theatrical production based on her album of the same name.
Released last year, West End Girl documents the breakdown of Lily's marriage to Stranger Things star David Harbour, with the singer detailing disagreements that led to them splitting.
At one point, the performance drew an enthusiastic response from the crowd, with one audience member shouting, 'F*** you, David!' during the opening number, prompting cheers from the arena, according to Herald Sun.
David previously said he respects Lily's artistic expression, but added that her account of their relationship was not his experience.
Rather than a traditional pop concert, Lily performed the album as a continuous piece of live theatre, following its 45-minute tracklist and incorporating short breaks for costume changes and scene transitions.

The production featured a series of apartment-style sets, complete with a bed and chaise lounge, while props in the bedroom referenced some of the more explicit subject matter explored in her songs.
The performer also made several costume changes throughout the performance, wearing lingerie, underwear-inspired outfits and robes before appearing in her now-famous 'receipt' revenge dress, decorated with designer shopping.
The singer remained in character throughout the show, taking the audience through the album's account of marital breakdown, from the initial confrontation over an open relationship to the heartbreak that followed.
One of the opening scenes saw Lily re-enact a phone conversation with David in which he raises the prospect of an open marriage.
Among the night's musical highlights were Tennis, Madeline, Just Enough and Dallas Major, with Lily bringing the album's deeply personal lyrics to life through her commanding presence.
She broke character only at the end of the performance to thank the audience and accept a bouquet of flowers.
The shows mark Lily’s biggest headline tour of her career.
Lily and Harbour were married for four years after meeting on the exclusive dating app Raya in 2019.
