Lil Rel Howery (“Get Out”), Angela Sarafyan (“Westworld”) and Manny Montana (“Good Girls”) are set to appear in indie horror film “The Things We Hide,” co-directed and produced by Amir Noorani and Eric Bergemann.
Italy’s Minerva Pictures has boarded the chiller and will launch world sales at the Cannes Market.
Atit Shah’s Create Entertainment (“Monsoon,” “Forgive Don’t Forget”) is lead-producing “The Things We Hide.” Principal photography has just kicked off in New York.
“Things We Hide” turns on a couple named Naomi and Logan who, after a psychological breakdown nearly destroys their marriage, retreat to a remote farmhouse to seek a fresh start. That’s when “terrifying events begin blurring the line between trauma, paranoia, and the supernatural,” according to the synopsis.
“Our cast brings extraordinary depth and complexity to roles that demand exactly that,” said Create Entertainment’s Shah in a statement. “Eric’s script taps into something primal about trust, trauma and what we’re willing to unsee when we love someone. Partnering with Minerva to bring this film to the global marketplace is an exciting step, and we couldn’t have asked for a better home going into Cannes.”

Minerva Pictures is a boutique distributor of mostly elevated genre films, with a library comprising nearly 2,500 titles including some Italian gems that marked an era.
