Poor guy just can't catch a break
KILL THE THINGS, BLOKE WITH NICE HAIR. Ok, Capcom, he'll kill the things in the new game mode your latest update adds to Resident Evil Requiem. YES, LEON MUST DIE FOREVER. Indeed, it's a name that's arguably a bit on the nose, but it certainly does the job.
Rolled out for free in Requiem's latest patch, Leon Must Die Forever's your standard endgame killing rush. Once you're done with the story, Mr Kennedy's let loose on more enemy-filled levels from the base game ending in boss fights, with "exclusive enhancer abilities" on offer as he murderdeaths waves of monsters.
These runs work their way up through difficulties and are against the clock, with an "extreme" challenge awaiting the best of the best. All in all, it sounds like an ideal addition to do same job as Resi's usual Mercenaries mode - keeping you occupied if you're not quite in the mood for another playthrough quite yet or just fancy a quick blast of malevolent residents.
A new title update for Resident Evil Requiem is out now for all systems, adding:

The patch that's arrived with it has also fixed some bugs and issues, including one that was "causing the game to become unplayable under certain circumstances". Specifically for PC, Capcom have also made sure adaptive triggers, vibration, and motion sensor functions are all on offer for folks using PlayStation's DualSense wireless controllers.
If you've not yet given the game a go and want an idea of what Leon's murdery sections feel like, check out our Resident Evil Requiem review. "Leon’s brief symphonies of gory carnage were like taking a hammer to that glass. They complement each other so well. When Leon starts to dominate the game, there’s still fun to be had in spite of the dragging plot, but trudging through the darkest depths of Rhodes Hill is worth the price of admission alone," Callum wrote in it.
KILL THE THINGS. Sheesh, calm it Capcom, he's on his way now.
