Legacy just put the entire Counter-Strike 2 world on notice. The Brazilian squad swept G2 Esports 3-0 in the grand final of FISSURE Playground 3, held at the SND Cultural & Sports Centre in Suzhou, China, on September 13, collecting $300,000 from the tournament’s $1 million prize pool.

The scorelines told the story before any analyst could. Legacy took Ancient 13-9, Mirage 13-10, and then closed the door on Dust2 with a ruthless 13-4.

The tournament ran from September 8 through September 13, featuring 16 teams in a GSL-style double-elimination group stage followed by single-elimination playoffs.

The road to the final

Legacy’s semifinal against MIBR, a fellow Brazilian squad, went the full distance before Legacy prevailed 2-1. Legacy also notched a victory over FURIA during the event. On the other side of the bracket, G2 defeated BetBoom Team 2-1 in the semifinals.

The $300,000 first-place prize was split between the players and the organization, with $165,000 going to the roster and $135,000 to the club.
