LeAnn Rimes sent shockwaves over the internet when she was seen sobbing uncontrollably during a hands-on procedure to release tension in her jaw.
Now the singer, 43, is responding to the negative feedback over her now-viral 'deep jaw release video' from Human Garage, a wellness group that promotes self-healing through fascial maneuvers.
Joined by the organization's founder Garry Lineham in a livestream posted on Saturday, Rimes spoke directly to the people who said her emotional reaction was all an act.
'The people were commenting on [the post], being [like], "Of course the camera was on, she was gonna cry." I'm like, "I can act, but I am not that good,"' she said with a chuckle.
'I am not that good. I'm not Meryl Streep,' she went on, adding, 'That's just real, and I feel like the older I get, and it's been probably the last decade of my life, I feel like the more honest I can be. People finally get to see me, and there's no pretense about that.'
The shocking clip, which was slammed by Brandi Glanville 17 years after the Eddie Cibrian cheating drama, showed Rimes being pinned down on a bed while Lineham placed his gloved hand insider her mouth and another nurse restrained her.

The technique triggered an emotional response in Rimes, who burst into tears within seconds.
'Say that part of my life is over,' Lineham instructed her, to which she replied, 'That part of my life better be over.'
After a few deep breaths and placing a hand on her face, Rimes then said, 'Oh my God, you just don’t realize how much tension is in there.'
'Until it’s gone,' Lineham finished for her.
Human Garage originated as a clinic in Venice, California and evolved into an online program with an aim to help people self-heal, according to its website.
The company specializes in fascial maneuvers to release physical and emotional stress and improve alignment so people can look and feel their best.
The caption accompanying the video post read, 'Healing isn't always quiet. Sometimes it’s a physical letting go of things we didn't even know we were carrying.
Referring to Rimes' session, it continued, 'You can see the exact moment the tension breaks and the emotional weight lifts, leaving her feeling visibly lighter and more aligned.

In January, the Blue hitmaker shared a glimpse of her plasma exchange treatment, aka 'blood washing'

'The jaw is one of the body’s primary storage sites for stress. When we hold back our voice or push through pressure, the fascia in the face and neck "locks" to protect us. By using the maneuvers to signal safety to the nervous system, we can finally allow that stored energy to move.'
Some fans accused the star of acting or being overly dramatic with one Reddit user commenting, 'Her reactions are always too much.'
'Crazy what a camera does to some people,' an Instagram follower wrote.
Rimes has documented several other unconventional and expensive health treatments on social media, including a $45,000 therapeutic plasma exchange, aka ‘blood washing,’ and various detoxes such as magnetic field treatments.
