A grand Gold Coast mansion that has played host to some of Hollywood's biggest names has gone up for sale.

The lavish five-bedroom property in Ashmore, which has housed the likes of Jude Law and Amber Heard, is set to go under the hammer at auction next month.

The home is no stranger to high-profile guests and has also hosted billionaire Elon Musk and Aussie film director Baz Luhrmann in recent years, according to The Courier Mail.

It is not the first time the sprawling riverside pad has been up for grabs as it is believed to be the third time it has hit the market since December 2022.

The grand seven-bathroom home failed to find a buyer after it was listed in March this year and is currently being leased for a whopping $6,000 per week.

Though no guide price has been listed for the high-value auction, the palatial spread was last sold in 2005 for an eye-watering $3.1million.

The luxury home, which was build in 2009, is located on a 5,000-square-metre block amidst the secluded surrounds in Ashmore, just 6km from the CBD.

Designed by architect Ewald de Weerd in a glamorous 'old country home' style, construction elements include 180-year-old reclaimed timber, natural stone, Calacatta marble and Tuscan tiles.

Other impressive features include a sprawling living room with chandeliers, a vaulted ceiling and cosy stone fire place.

There's also a sunken formal dining room, a library with ladder and a lavish room dedicated to 'present wrapping'.

Constructed right on the banks of the Nerang River, the estate has its own 'beach', with a boat ramp, ski hut and pontoon.

Other impressive highlights include a gourmet kitchen with butler's pantry and a powder room.

Designed for luxury fun, there's also extensive timber decking, and a 25-metre pool with its own 'house' and BBQ fire pit.

The private and secluded estate also features a separate guest house, which boasts two bedrooms.

The extensive grounds include a pond and a copper carving, adding some further luxury touches to the pad.

There is also a 600-bottle subterranean temperature-controlled wine cellar on site and a spacious outdoor entertaining area.

The property reportedly failed to sell when it was first listed in December 2022 and has had another big marketing push in March 2024, ahead of its auction.

The mansion will go to auction on September 21 through the Amir Prestige Group.
