Laurina Fleure's change of identity: Bachelor villain known for her infamous 'dirty street pie' comment and extensive cosmetic work turns anti-vaxxer who wants to live off the grid - as she unveils new look

She became one of Australia's most memorable reality television villains, known for her fiery one-liners and glamorous appearance on Blake Garvey's season of The Bachelor in 2014.

But more than a decade after Laurina Fleure first rose to fame, the former reality star appears to be embracing a radically different lifestyle.

In recent months the 41-year-old has been taking to social media to rant about conspiracy theories and spirituality.

However, it was this week that Laurina really raised eyebrows when she announced she was closing her wellness and beauty business Beauty Aqua and removing her children from the school system, describing it as a place of 'brainwashing and distorted social conditioning'.

In a lengthy Instagram post, Laurina recounted receiving an email with photographs of her young son Bassi from his former crèche, claiming she was devastated by what she saw in the images.

'My heart broke when I saw the lonely sorrow in my son's eyes in those photos,' she wrote.

This week Laurina raised eyebrows when she announced she was closing her wellness and beauty business Beauty Aqua and removing her children from the school system, describing it as a place of 'brainwashing and distorted social conditioning'

Laurina acknowledged that having Bassi attend kindergarten would have allowed her to work on her business, but said she had reached a turning point in her priorities.

'NO AMOUNT OF MONEY is worth missing out on moments of love, happiness and connection with my children,' she declared, adding: 'The only thing I have left to prove is that I have nothing to prove.'

She then announced she intended to close Beauty Aqua, her wellness beverage business, and revealed her plans for her children's education.

'I will be closing down the Beauty Aqua business and my children will not be attending the school system for brainwashing and distorted social conditioning,' she wrote.

'I love them too much to sacrifice their lives for systemic oppression or approval.'

Laurina went on to describe an ideal future in which her family would live closer to nature in an 'eco-villa', away from what she called radiation.

Laurina has also recently sparked controversy with a series of social media posts about vaccination, after claiming that one of her children, who had been vaccinated, became sick while her younger, unvaccinated child remained well.

Laurina's interest in spirituality is also reflected in her new digital book, titled Return To Divine Sacred Masculine Feminine Union

The downloadable PDF is marketed as a 'New Age Relationship Bible' and describes itself in terms of channelled revelations, masculine and feminine energies, connection and expanded consciousness

In a video posted over the weekend, Laurina appeared to soften her stance on the vaccine debate, describing her earlier involvement as a 'lower state of consciousness' and saying she had since found acceptance.

However, she continued to refer to vaccines as 'poison', criticising those who believe they are necessary to prevent disease.

Laurina then claimed to have received a spiritual revelation, which she said felt as though it came from the Egyptian goddess Isis and biblical figure Mary Magdalene.

She described experiencing 'divine feminine energy' and said her vision for a 'new earth' included every household planting fruit and nut trees, as well as every suburb having an organic fruit forest park.

She also suggested people who were not yet 'awakened' remained part of the system she believes needs to change.

The video followed earlier comments in which Laurina compared the health of her two children, claiming one had become sick after vaccination while her younger, unvaccinated child had remained healthy.

However, an illness occurring after vaccination does not establish that the vaccine caused it, just as an unvaccinated child remaining healthy does not show that vaccines are unnecessary.

Outside of her new-found interest in conspiracy theories, alternative medicine and untraditional lifestyles, Laurina has also changed her appearance over the years. (Pictured on The Bachelor in 2014)

Outside of her new-found interest in conspiracy theories, alternative medicine and untraditional lifestyles, Laurina has also changed her appearance over the years.

Her face now appears notably tauter and fuller in recent images, sparking speculation that she has received dermal fillers and muscle relaxing injections such as Botox in her face.

Laurina's lips and cheeks look especially plumper when compared to her time on reality TV.

The brunette has previously been open about her love of cosmetic procedures, telling News Corp in 2016 that she had undergone breast surgery, ear pinning, liposuction and Botox, as well as a chemical peel.

'I am all for plastic surgery. I love it. I've got nothing to hide,' she said at the time.

She has also discussed non-surgical treatments, including ultrasound skin tightening and chemical peels, in interviews about her beauty routine.

Laurina also found herself at the centre of controversy in March 2021, when footage circulated online that appeared to show her snorting a white powder at a party in Melbourne.

Laurina shot to fame on Blake Garvey's season of The Bachelor back in 2014 and went viral after complaining that Blake had taken her out for a 'dirty street pie' at a food truck instead of enjoying a glamorous date like the other women received

In the clip, she appeared to lean over a line of powder before standing up and saying, 'I did it!'

She subsequently addressed the footage in comments to The Herald Sun, admitting she was embarrassed by what had happened.

'I feel sick. I am humiliated. I don't know what else to say. I am really embarrassed,' she said.

Laurina also acknowledged returning to partying after Valentine's Day, despite aspiring to live a sober lifestyle.

'I always aspire to live a sober life just mainly for beauty and anti-ageing, and things like that,' she said, adding that sometimes she had a 'blowout' when she went out.

She said she was determined to remain sober.

In 2018, Laurina made a brief return to TV on the first season of Bachelor In Paradise.

She entered the Fiji-based reality show in episode two, but decided to quit five episodes later after failing to spark romance with any of the contestants.
