The "Born This Way" singer debuted an instantly iconic ensemble as she hit the red carpet for the world premiere of Joker: Folie à Deux at the Venice International Film Festival Sep. 4.
For the occasion, Gaga donned a black, low cut Christian Dior Haute Couture gown, featuring a full, pleated skirt. She paired the dress with Tiffany jewels: platinum and diamond earrings, a diamond necklace and a classic Tiffany Victoria bracelet.
But the pièce de résistance was her black Philip Treacy headpiece, complete with intricate lace designs and two points at the top, along with a beaded black bow.
In the sequel to the Oscar-winning 2019 film, Joaquin reprises his role as Arthur Fleck, a.k.a. The Joker, as he finds love with Gaga's Harley Quinn when the two meet at Gotham's Arkham Asylum.
As seen in the first trailer, the couple's love is so intense that they often break into song to express their emotions, with both Gaga and Joaquin singing live on set.

But as Gaga sees it, being a Grammy-winning singer and songwriter didn't necessarily give her a leg up assinging live with a pianist just off camera made her feel like another actor in the scene.
"For me it was kind of about unlearning technique and forgetting how to breathe," she told reporters in Venice, "and allowing the song to come completely out of the character.
The "Poker Face" singer added, "It gives the characters a way to express what they need to say."

And working with director Todd Philips, the two made sure that they were able to improvise when it felt right.
"We all really thrived in the moment and in the chaos of it all," Gaga said. "We had to find it every day. What was the truth of the scene, what was the honest moment."
