The "Bad Romance" singer gave a heartfelt performance of "Hold My Hand" in the heart of Bourbon Street ahead of kickoff at the 2025 Super Bowl between the Kansas City Chiefs and Philadelphia Eagles in New Orleans Feb. 9.

Gaga, donning a billowing white gown and matching wide-brimmed hat, performed her Oscar-nominated song as first responders, including Louisiana State Police troopers, New Orleans police officers and more, stood by embracing the music. The Grammy winner was accompanied by a live band and soulful choir for the surprise rendition.

The kickoff performance comes one month after a truck attack killed 15, including the gunman, and wounded 57 in New Orleans's French Quarter. Michael Strahan, who wore a "NOLA Strong" shirt, and former New England Patriots quarterback Tom Brady began the program with a message of resilience.

"The resilience of New Orleans is matched with the resolve of our country," Tom, donning a New Orleans Fire Department T-shirt, said as he and a crowd of people walked to Gaga. "When tragedy strikes, we don't break. We come together. We rise above and never let evil win."

"In moments when heads are down and hope feels lost, something powerful always rises," he continued. "The American spirit of courage, generosity and unity."

Meanwhile, Michael paid tribute to other communities in the U.S. who've experienced hardships, including natural disasters like the wildfires that ravaged Southern California, as well as tragedies like the American Airlines collision over the Potomac River in the county's capital.

"As we get ready for sport's biggest day, we gather together with heavy hearts for our families and friends from North Carolina to Los Angeles," the GMA host said. "From Washington, D.C., to Philadelphia, whose last few months have left us relying on each other in ways we never imagined."
