The second update of Fortnite Override is finally here. While there was an unexpected delay, Kingdom Hearts is now part of the Battle Royale, but that's not all that's coming. This patch is riddled with new cosmetics, collabs, loot hacks, and exciting items. Downtime is now over, which means players can hop back onto the Battle Royale island and start exploring all the content that's been added to Fortnite.
Fortnite adds Kingdom Hearts and Edgerunners content
Image: Epic GamesThe highlight of update v42.20 is the highly anticipated Kingdom Hearts collab, which has been extensively teased for the past couple of weeks. Sora is now in the Item Shop for 1,800 V-Bucks, alongside Roxas, Kairi, and Riku, which cost 1,600 V-Bucks each. Thankfully, players who want to get their hands on all of these cosmetics can simply get the bundle for a discounted price of 4,500 V-Bucks. It'll add a total of 20 Kingdom Hearts items to their in-game lockers.
Kingdom Hearts' Kingdom Key is the latest melee weapon in Fortnite, and it allows players to annihilate their opponents with its destructive bolts and powerful combos. Those looking to heal from taking a hit should make sure they have some Sea Salt Ice Cream handy, as it'll grant them and their teammates some health and shields. Both items are now part of the standard Battle Royale loot pool, but they'll be more accessible during the Kingdom Hearts Power Hours. On Saturday, Sept. 19, players begin matches with the Kingdom Key and Sea Salt Ice Cream in their inventory. The Power Hour event will be live from 2 p.m. to 4 p.m. ET, and again from 9 p.m. to 11 p.m. ET.

Players can get Rebecca's Guns in Fortnite by taking down the Adam Smash boss. With them, they can deal heavy damage to their enemies, especially if they come across the Exotic variant, which has a special ricocheting bullets effect.
These are just two of the collabs that are being brought to Fortnite in this update. Players are expected to see items based on Persona 5, Pac-Man, and Ironmouse.
While they stand out, collab items aren't the only ones that have been added to Fortnite. With the latest delivery of loot hacks, players can use their Sprite Dust to unlock even more items and weapons this week. The new loot hacks include the following items: the Hyperburst Pistol, the Mammoth Pistol, the Reaper Sniper Rifle, the Deadeye DMR, Flowberry Fizz, and the Rocket Ram. Players can get more Sprite Dust by extracting sprites.
Speaking of sprites, there are three new sprites to find on the island, which is a good thing, as mastering 30 of them will now grant players the free Pixel Polli skin. While exploring the new content, be sure to be on the lookout for the Pond Sprite, the Crash Bandicoot Sprite, and the Blinky Sprite.
