Kim Kardashian's daughter North West, 13, raps about 'betrayal' and being 'used' in new music video… after calling off tour last-minute

Kim Kardashian and Kanye West's teenage daughter, North West, released a horror-inspired music video for her new song Aishite on Thursday.

In the video, directed by Ty Akimoto, the 13-year-old sings about 'betrayal' and being 'used' as she haunts the halls of a school and an arcade.

The title of the song means 'love me' in Japanese, and North repeats the phrase throughout the track, which is featured on her recent EP N0rth4evr. 

In the first verse, North - whose debut tour was recently cancelled - sings, 'Ayy, ain't nobody finna save me / Ayy, and it's drivin' me crazy (Crazy) / Why can't I escape? 'Cause they chase me (They chase me) / Just love me, everyone betrays me.' 

She goes on to sing, 'I'm seein' blood daily (Daily)/ What? And it's drivin' me crazy (Crazy)/ Yeah, can't escape 'cause they chase me.' 

In the next verse she continues to explore feelings of betrayal, singing, 'She pretend, they ain't usin' me again (What?) / Can't be no one's friend, I can't let nobody in' before adding, 'Can't depend on anyone, the sufferin' won't end.' 

The Daily Mail has reached out to Kardashian's representative for comment on the song. 

Elsewhere in the song she makes mention of her famous piercings, singing, 'Always got some piercings on me, this is not a trend.'

The eerie video starts off in a gloomy abandoned school building, where North is seen walking the hallways in neon blue pigtails.

Fans are treated to a jump scare when the camera gets closer and she turns around and reveals a face with no eyes, nose or mouth.

The teen also shows off a black grill on her teeth.

The clip continues with rapid cuts of North at school and the arcade, concluding as the track finishes and a white title screen flashes.

North was set to go on her debut co-headlining concert tour this week, but all shows were abruptly cancelled last week.

North, barely out of middle school, had been gearing up to join 21-year-old hip-hop sensation Molly Santana on the 14-date Kimokawaii Tour – set to kick off August 6 and promote her debut album N0rth4evr. 

'I was really excited to go on tour w molly santana sadly it isn't happening anymore. But I have something special for u guys see ya soon,' North shared with fans on her Instagram Stories.  

A source recently told the Daily Mail that in order to console the teen, her musician father might do a 'small tour' with her soon to 'make it up for her.'

And a joint performance by the Grammy winner and his rap protégé wouldn't be entirely out of the question – the pair have already electrified stages together this year.

In January, North joined Kanye during his massive Mexico City arena shows, performing unreleased material alongside her solo track Piercing on My Hand in front of over 40,000 fans.

Come April, she made a surprise appearance at his sold-out SoFi Stadium comeback concert in Los Angeles, belting out tracks like Miss Westie to a roaring crowd, before joining him again in Tampa Bay for another stadium spectacle.

For her part, Santana has only publicly addressed the cancellation in a statement on Instagram, writing: 'To everyone who bought tickets to the tour, I sincerely apologize. I know a lot of you have taken time out of your busy schedules and spent your hard-earned money planning to be there.'

'Nothing makes me more happy than the opportunity to share more amazing memories with you all, and I hope to see you soon. You are all so greatly appreciated and please know that I never take your time or support lightly. I love you so much & I promise I will make this up to you.'

In May, North notably followed in her famous father's music footsteps by dropping her debut EP titled N0rth4evr.

She also dropped a music video at the time for the track #N0rth4evr which showed her in grainy and choppy footage.

Her debut EP is not her first foray into music.

Last year in January, North made a surprise feature on FKA Twigs' third studio album, EUSEXUA. She garnered mixed reactions from fans when she rapped fluently in Japanese on the track Childlike Things.

And in February of this year, the teen signed a deal with the label Gamma which is an independent entertainment firm run by former Apple executive Larry Jackson, which has also signed Mariah Carey.

Sources told Rolling Stone at the time that North had already begun recording sessions in a studio under the new partnership.

In March, Kardashian and her eldest daughter were spotted leaving a nighttime recording session in Los Angeles.

North, who celebrated her 13th birthday on June 15, has also drawn attention as well as concern over bold 'piercings.' 

Last month, the nepo baby was spotted leaving Nobu Malibu with silver-toned studs on her legs. It is unclear if the jewelry was applied through piercings or if they were just stickers.

The teen is no stranger to unveiling other bold looks in the past. In May, as she attended a pop-up event for her album, North sported bleached eyebrows.

Aside from North, Kardashian and her ex-husband also share younger daughter Chicago, eight, as well as sons Saint, 10, and Psalm, seven. Kardashian filed for divorce from West in 2021 and it was finalized in 2022.
