Kim Kardashian makes shock admission about family's Christmas Eve party plans

The Kardashian-Jenner family has made a tradition out of throwing an epic, luxurious Christmas Eve party every year.

But Kim Kardashian revealed to Vogue at the opening of her new SKIMS store in New York City store on Thursday that this year's celebration will be a more 'intimate' affair.

'We're doing a really low key Christmas Eve party this year just because we have a lot of construction going on,' the SKIMS founder, 44, explained.

Kim is currently renovating her $60million Calabasas mansion while Khloe is also renovating the house she purchased right next to mom Kris Jenner's in Hidden Hills.

The reality TV star continued: 'We're doing a family intimate one that I'm really excited about – still dressing up to the nines because that's what we do.

'We've had some legendary Christmas Eve parties and they're just beginning. Our kids love them and now all their friends want to come,' she told the outlet, adding: 'It's such a fun tradition.'

Last year's celebration was held at Kim's home and featured a star-studded guest list that included Paris Hilton.

During Thursday's conversation with Vogue, Kim also spoke about recently breaking her foot and how she's been using a scooter to get around.

'A girl's got do what a girl's got to do, broken foot and all,' the SKIMS founder said, adding that nothing was going to stop her from seeing the brand new flagship store for her brand.

The Kardashians star broke her foot earlier this month but has not yet revealed exactly how it happened.

She shared an image of her foot in a boot cast with Fergie's song Clumsy playing in the background and the bottom of crutches visible.

'FML,' Kim wrote alongside the photo with a swearing emoji. 'Broken foot for the holidays.'

The mom of four isn't letting a broken foot stop her from promoting her business.

Kim was pictured leaving the grand opening of her new flagship SKIMS store in New York City on Thursday while getting around on a black knee scooter.

She used the device after previously trying out a boot cast for her injured foot, though she wasn't willing to part with her high-heeled boots for her unaffected leg.

Fans were quick to rave about Kim's appearance on social media, with one fan commenting: 'Love that she still put a heel on it!! That’s my girl.' Another said: 'This pic coulda been straight outta 2013. WE ARE SO BACK!'

This isn't the first time Kim has gotten injured this year.

This summer she broke her index and middle finger so badly that the bone was poking out of her skin, as she revealed on an episode of her family's Hulu reality show.

'My big sliding door in my bathroom that opens up,' she explained during an episode of The Kardashians in July.

'I was shutting it and there's no latch. You have to pull the inside of the mechanics out.'

She explained that Saint, nine, had run into the bathroom with chips and as she told him to put them away, the door slammed on her fingers.

'I literally looked at my hand and I fell to the ground,' she recalled. 'I just grabbed the table and got on my knees because I just saw all this blood.'

Kim tried to describe the intense pain she felt when the injury happened.

'You can't describe the pain but your whole body goes in shock,' she explained. 'It was more painful than childbirth.'

The foot injury comes just after the busy mom celebrated her son Saint's ninth birthday, calling him 'one of my soulmates' as she paid tribute to him on Instagram.

'My birthday boy Saint turns 9 today,' she wrote on December 5. 'I was going through my photos and most of our pics are snuggling cuddling pics.

'I always wanna believe that my little man will be this snuggly forever! So cheers to one of my soulmates for being the sweetest boy. Happy birthday. I love you.'

Kim's sweet post comes amid dad Kanye West's apparent absence from their four kids' lives — two years after he and his ex-wife reached a joint custody agreement.

The rapper, 47, hasn't been seen publicly with either Saint, North, 11, Chicago, six, or Psalm, five, in nearly three months.
