Kerry Katona reveals she thought she was going to die after she skidded on some black ice and crashed into a tree in her £200k Lamborghini

Kerry Katona has revealed she had a close stroke with death a fortnight ago when she crashed her £200,000 Lamborghini.

The former Atomic Kitten star, 44, explained in her New! column that she was on her way to work when the horror accident happened.

She said she had been speaking to her daughter, Molly, on the phone through her hands-free kit when her bright green vehicle spun out of control on black ice and crashed into a tree and back into a fence.

Kerry, who is currently starring alongside Katie Price in the pantomime production of Cinderella, was heading to rehearsals at Northwich Memorial Court at the time of the crash.

Kerry confessed that she was in complete shock and 'thought she was going to die'.

She wrote: 'It spun and went into a tree and back into a fence - I thought I was going to die.

'I wasn't bothered about my car but i was just in complete shock and lost control of the car.

'My phone recognised I had been in a crash so started an alert and Molly was still on the line so she heard me screaming.'

Following the incident, Kerry explained she was shaken up and had to be driven home by the police.

She had whiplash following the accident and was prescribed strong medication.

Her luxury car is currently getting fixed and she is having to drive around in a borrowed 'monster truck'.

Kerry then admitted that she 'doesn't even know how she is driving it' because she it's like a spaceship.

When the accident occurred she was pictured looking distraught as she inspected the damage on her bright green Lamborghini Urus on the side of the country road.

She revealed that when the accident happened, she was speaking to her daughter, Molly, on the phone through her hands-free kit

It's beena tough time for Kerry who recently revealed that her six-year relationship with fitness trainer Ryan was over and that he'd moved out.

It was later said Kerry was 'devastated' over the break-up, especially as he was 'like a father' to her children.

They added that the media personality is trying to be strong for Molly, 21, Lilly-Sue, 20, Heidi, 16, Max, 14, and eight-year-old DJ.

The incident comes after she shared a worrying health update on her seriously unwell mother Sue, admitting her 'body isn't coping when her oxygen is removed'.

She  recently revealed that Sue was rushed to hospital when she 'nearly died twice' and even broke her back. 

Kerry said it has been 'a particularly difficult few fays' as she updated fans in her New! magazine column last month.

She wrote: 'It's been a busy week for me, taking care of mum and making sure I still spend time with my family.

'I've been staying at mum's home to look after her cat but I knew the kids were missing me, so I made sure to spend time with them on Bonfire Night.

The incident comes after she shared a worrying health update on her seriously unwell mother Sue, admitting her 'body isn't coping when her oxygen is removed' 

She recently revealed that Sue was rushed to hospital when she 'nearly died twice' and even broke her back 

She added: 'She's been moved from a private pod to a ward, which is a good sign, but her body isn't coping if they remove the oxygen. We just need to take one step at a time - but it's been a particularly difficult few days.' 

The TV personality recently confirmed Sue had suffered blood clots among her other health issues as she spoke candidly about the 'emotional' time. 

She said: 'I've had a very challenging week visiting my mum in hospital every day.

'She's suffering from blood clots and other health issues and I've cancelled all of my work to focus on looking after her. It's been an emotional week.

'I'd usually do something with the kids for Bonfire Night, but it really depends on how my mum is doing.

'I don't want to make any plans as my routine is all so dependent on her. Please send all your prayers to us.'
