Nicole Kidman Reveals Whether She's Leaving Nashville After Keith Urban Breakup
Russell Dickerson revealed his friend Keith Urban is a fighter.
Three months after Nicole Kidman and the “Somebody Like You” singer—who share daughters Sunday Rose, 17, and Faith Margaret, 14, together—finalized their divorce, his country music colleague shared an update on how Keith is doing.
“He’s always been focused on music, and so I think he’s just kind of doubling down on that, and it’s just beautiful,” Russell told Page Six at the March 26 iHeartRadio Music Awards. “I can’t wait to hear what comes out of it.”
Though the country music stars were able to connect at the Country to Country festival in mid-March, Russell noted that he didn’t get to spend “tons of time” with Keith. But from the moments that the two did get to share together, Russell said that the “Blue Ain’t Your Color” hitmaker “seemed in good spirits.”
“I’ve toured with all of them,” he said, referring to country’s biggest stars. “But Keith Urban is my guy.”
The update on Keith comes after Nicole, 58, shared that she was doing “all right” after the pair finalized their divorce in January following 19 years of marriage.
"I am, because I’m always going to be moving toward what’s good," she told Variety March 11. "What I’m grateful for is my family and keeping them as is and moving forward. That’s that. Everything else I don’t discuss out of respect."
As Nicole—also mom to Isabella Cruise, 32, and Connor Cruise, 30, with ex Tom Cruise—emphasized, coparenting the pair’s daughters is her top priority.

"I’m staying in a place of, 'We are a family,'" she noted, "and that’s what we’ll continue to be. My beautiful girls, my darlings, who are suddenly women."
Nicole filed for divorce in September, just one day after E! News learned that they had been living separately "since the beginning of the summer."
Three months later, the pair finalized their divorce and settled on a plan for the custody of their kids. While the Big Little Lies star will spend 306 days a year with their daughters, the “One Too Many” singer will have every other weekend with the girls, per documents obtained by E! at the time.

And while Nicole may be going through a major life shift amid her divorce, she shared the one aspect that will remain is the place she calls home.
“We have our life here,” Nicole explained of remaining in Nashville, Tennessee. “I’m part of the city and community for 20 years. It’s my home.”

The country singer raised eyebrows when he abruptly ended an interview after being asked about Kidman's onscreen chemistry with costar Zac Efron in A Family Affair.
“The first thing I thought of with your beautiful wife, Nicole Kidman, being on so many great movies, TV shows all the time,” a radio host said on Australia’s Mix 102.3’s Hayley & Max in the Morning. “What does Keith Urban think when he sees his beautiful wife with beautiful younger men like Zac Efron having these beautiful love scenes on TV and radio?”
Suddenly, Urban disappeared from the call.
“He's disconnected from Zoom,” a radio staffer said. “I think his team hung up on us because they didn't want us to ask that question.”
His rep didn't respond to E!'s request for comment at the time.

July 24, 2025: It's Revealed That Nicole Kidman Applied for Residency in Portugal
E! News learned that the Practical Magic star had submitted application to become a resident of Portugal, with Urban preparing to do the same himself.
“Keith was unable to be in Portugal for this appointment as he is currently on tour in the U.S.," a source with knowledge of the situation told E!, "and it is mandatory for applicants to be physically present in order to apply for the visa. He is scheduled to submit his application at a later date that works with his tour schedule."
At the time, the source said both planned to maintain a permanent residence in Nashville as well.

Aug. 6, 2025: Sunday Rose Shares Insight Into Family Life
The couple's eldest daughter Sunday Rose shed light on on their parenting dynamic in an interview, saying that "there are two big rules" at home.
"The first was that I couldn’t explore any kind of fashion work until I was 16," she told Nylon, "and the second is that school always has to come first, which at first I hated, but I am actually really glad that I have these rules in place because it keeps me in a good mindset."

In August, her lawyer prepared a Child Support Worksheet included in a Parenting Plan stating that Kidman and Urban would be "joint custodians" of their teen daughters Sunday Rose and Faith Margaret.
However, the Oscar winner was listed as the "primary residential parent," with the girls spending 306 days a year with their mother and 59 days with their father (Urban will have the children every other weekend.).
Neither will pay child support, according to the doc obtained by E! News.
“The mother and father will behave with each other and each child so as to provide a loving, stable, consistent and nurturing relationship with the child even though they are divorced,” it stated. “They will not speak badly of each other or the members of the family of the other parent. They will encourage each child to continue to love the other parent and be comfortable in both families.”

Aug. 29, 2025: Keith Urban Signs Paperwork
Urban moved forward with their Marital Dissolution Agreement, getting it notorized in August, per the doc obtained by E! News.
The document said that Kidman would "institute divorce proceedings against" him due to irreconcilable differences. It also stated that neither party would be getting alimony or spousal support in their split.
The same date, he also signed off on the Parenting Plan.
