Keira Knightley looked incredible in a long black glittering coat as she enjoyed a night out in New York City on Tuesday night.

The actress, 39, turned heads in the eye catching jacket which she wore over a long white blouse and black midi skirt.

Keira cinched in her waist by wearing a chunky belt over her blouse and elevated her frame in a pair of towering stilettos.

Styling her long dark tresses in waves, the film star toted her belongings around in a coordinated clutch and opted for a pair of large sunglasses.

Keira looked in good spirits as she stepped out in Midtown with a number of pals.

It comes after the Pirates of the Caribbean star revealed why she doesn't want to expand her family.

Keira is a proud mother to 9-year-old daughter Delilah and 5-year-old daughter Edie whom she shares with her husband of 11 years, musicial James Righton.

While promoting her hit Netflix series Black Doves, where she plays a spy named Helen Webb, on The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon, Keira showered praise upon her daughters, particularly about how 'cool' they are even at such a young age.

Still, there was one aspect of their childhood that was enough for her to never want to bear another child again: watching Peppa Pig.

When Fallon asked what the kids were watching these days, she said, 'They're very cool right now. It's really weird. They're into like Studio Ghibli,' the Japanese animation studio founded by director Hayao Miyazaki.

She added they're into other, 'beautiful things where you're like, oh, this is just lovely, after seven years of Peppa Pig. You know?'

'You know that thing where you're like, "Oh, you know, they're so nice, should we have another one?" she added of the notion of having more kids.

'And you think, oh, yeah, I could do the pregnancy. I could even do the birth. But I cannot watch any more Peppa Pig. It's not going to happen,' she insisted.

While her kids may be 'cool,' she added that she recently learned how her oldest daughter finds her 'embarrassing' at times.

'She finds me really embarrassing, yeah. It's really annoying. I thought that like -- you know when they're teenagers, you think "Yeah, they're gonna find me embarrassing." But yeah, but 9, right?'

The actress added, 'She's having this disco party. We thought, "Oh, that's cool." And I was like, "Yay, and then I get dance." And I can get all the girls dancing. And she's really into Lizzo. Like she really is very cool. So, she's got Chappell Roan, she loves. And Lizzo, she loves.'

'And so we were like, "Great, we'll put Lizzo on and this is going to be amazing,' she said before adding her daughter reacted.

'Mom, mom you are so embarrassing, just go and stand in the corner,' Knightley said, imitating her oldest daughter.

She also discussed her new series Black Doves, which she described as, 'a spy show wrapped in a murder mystery wrapped in a buddy movie.'

When asked why she wanted to do the show, Knightley simply replied, 'I wanted to kick a**.'

'I’m a mom of two and I’m so child friendly at home. I just wanted to do something that was a bit punk and kind of blew everything up,' she added.

When Fallon mentioned how she does her own stunts in the show, Knightley admitted, 'When I first got the script, there weren't any fights in it and I was the spy.'

'So I was doing like spy acting, I thought I could be quite lazy doing spy acting. And then my best friend in it is meant to be an assassin. So he got to do all the fight scenes. And then as they did all these rewrites. First of all guns, I thought, ok, I can still be lazy with a gun. Suddenly you can't be lazy anymore and you've got to really get down to the gym and work out a lot and learn it all,' she said.
