Keanu Reeves most recently delighted audiences in one of 2025's most underrated movies: Good Fortune. The feature directorial debut of comedian and actor Aziz Ansari, the movie starred an angelic Reeves alongside the likes of Seth Rogen, Sandra Oh, and Keke Palmer. It grossed $26 million globally at the box office, despite earning rave reviews from critics and audiences, with Collider's Joe Schmidt calling it "a humorous take on familiar concepts buoyed by some amazing performances" in his review.

Great reviews might not always equal a strong box office run, but, in the case of John Wick: Chapter 4, the two lived harmoniously together. The most brutal movie in the franchise as well as the longest, John Wick 4 is possibly the best of the bunch, boasting Reeves at his ass-kicking best and a supporting cast stacked with talent, from Donnie Yen to Reeves' Matrix mate Laurence Fishburne. On review aggregator Rotten Tomatoes, the movie earned near-perfect scores of 94% and 93% from critics and audiences, respectively. The consensus on the site reads, "John Wick: Chapter 4 piles on more of everything -- and suggests that when it comes to a well-dressed Keanu Reeves dispatching his enemies in lethally balletic style, there can never be too much."

Despite being released almost three years ago, John Wick 4 is still enticing new viewers. At the time of writing, the movie is one of the ten most-streamed on AMC+ in the U.S., a list topped by Aaron Eckhart's action feature, Muzzle: City of Wolves. Upon release, the film was an instant hit, with Collider's Ross Bonaime calling it "a goofy, ridiculous, three-hours of fun that manages to not overstay its welcome" in his official review. "I’m thinking John Wick is back, and better than ever," Bonaime concluded.

'John Wick: Chapter 4' Was a Box Office Smash

Against a reported production budget of $100 million, John Wick: Chapter 4 smashed box office expectations and returned a global haul of $447 million. Split between a domestic haul of $187 million and a further $260 million from overseas markets, the movie became the 16th highest-grossing title worldwide in 2023, and in the John Wick franchise. A synopsis for the movie reads:

"John Wick (Keanu Reeves) uncovers a path to defeating The High Table. But before he can earn his freedom, Wick must face off against a new enemy with powerful alliances across the globe and forces that turn old friends into foes."

John Wick Chapter 4 is streaming on AMC+. Stay tuned to Collider for more streaming stories.
