Kathy Griffin says she's been left 'hurt' and 'embarrassed' after her longtime friend Rosie O'Donnell failed to invite her onto Jimmy Kimmel Live! during her week as a guest host.
O'Donnell, 64, is filling in on the ABC late night show for four nights while Kimmel is off on summer vacation, with Griffin, 65, believing her old pal would bring her on for a segment.
'I'm just going to come out and say it. Are you ready? It's embarrassing to say, but I have to tell you guys, because we're friends: my feelings are really hurt that I was not invited to go on Rosie's week of the Jimmy Kimmel show,' Griffin confessed in a video she uploaded to Instagram on Tuesday.
The pair have been friends for decades, both breaking through in the 1990s to become two of the country's most famous female comedians. In recent years, the pair have each hit headlines for their outspoken opposition to President Trump.
In her video, Griffin claimed she recently spoke with O'Donnell about her guest host gig on Kimmel's show
'But she didn't say anything about me being a guest,' the flame-haired funnywoman fumed in her clip.

'And I thought, well, she's the guest host. She may have no say in it. And to this day, I don't know if she has any say in it.'
At the start of her video, Griffin insisted she and O'Donnell were not 'fighting' as she spoke about the comedian being one of her 'oldest friends' in Hollywood.
'Like I said, we're good pals. We're like sisters, and everybody knows sisters fight. Sisters and brothers fight. Best friends fight. Relatives, co-workers fight. And we're not even fighting. I'm just being honest,' she said.
'She told me about being asked by the Kimmel show to do a whole week, which I thought was fantastic,' Griffin continued, calling it a 'great marketing idea.'
'We talked about her doing Kimmel a lot. And one of the first things I said was, "Well, this doesn't need to be said, but I would love to be a guest,"' Griffin claimed, adding that the idea made sense to her since both her and Rosie have publicly feuded with Trump.
Griffin then went on to say that friends had been messaging her asking what night she would appear on Kimmel's show while O'Donnell was hosting.
'I admit I was kind of getting excited,' she conceded. 'Like, yeah, this could be a really cool moment. You know? Then that moment passed and kept passing, and I didn't want to call Rosie. I don't want to call her today... she's doing a show tonight, I believe, and so she's in work mode, and I certainly understand that.'
The My Life On The D-List star signed off saying she would still support O'Donnell despite her hurt over not being invited onto the program.
'I will watch every night and cheer her on. Of course. If I have one call to action, it’s that you guys watch the show and support her.'
She then encouraged fans to do the same.

'Support comedy. Support women in comedy. Support bold people in comedy because we don’t get rewarded very much. We usually get fired.'
Griffin's video quickly went viral, with O'Donnell responding in the comment section shortly after it was posted.
'Kathy- shoulda called me honey - I didn't choose the guests …,' wrote the A League of Their Own alum, who earned over 3,600 upvotes from fans.
Notably, Griffin has yet to reply to O'Donnell's Instagram comment.
Griffin's post comes just one day after she took to Instagram to express how 'excited' she was to watch O'Donnell takeover for Kimmel this week.
She shared a photo with O'Donnell, Griffin wrote in the caption: 'So excited to watch my pal, the brilliant @rosie O'Donnell subbing in all week for the equally brilliant and all around great guy @jimmykimmellive.'
She then remarked how much she 'loved' that Kimmel called O'Donnell's hosting gig as a 'a special treat for Donald Trump.'
'Lol. I'm going to watch every minute. Go Rosie!' she concluded.
O'Donnell continues her role as Kimmel's stand-in host on Wednesday night as she is set to interview a slew of stars, including It's Always Sunny in Philadelphia actor Charlie Day and Abbott Elementary actress Janelle James.
The Daily Mail has reached out to representatives for Griffin for comment but did not immediately hear back.
