Actor Awards 2026 Biggest Winners: Michael B. Jordan, 'The Pitt' & More

Kate Hudson and Oliver Hudson reveled in their siblings’ night out.

The Song Sung Blue star—who was nominated for Female Actor in a Leading Role—made the “impromptu” decision to have her big brother join her at the 2026 Actor Awards on March 1, after her fiancé Danny Fujikawa couldn’t make it.

“Danny got like crazy sick,” Kate, 46, told Entertainment Tonight before the ceremony inside the Shrine Auditorium & Expo Hall in Los Angeles. “I was like ‘Oliver, you need to be my date.’”

And the Cleaning Lady star—the eldest of Goldie Hawn and ex Bill Hudson’s two kids—was more than happy to oblige. More than that, he also had perfect suit for the occasion.

“This is 18 years old,” Oliver, 49, said. “It’s literally vintage Tom Ford because I’ve had it for that long.”

Although as Kate—mom to Ryder, 22, Bingham, 14, and Rani Rose, 7—suggested, it might be even older. Pinpointing the exact moment her brother purchased it, the Almost Famous alum added, “It was from Rules of Engagement, his first premiere. It’s like 25 years ago now.”

On the carpet, Kate was the perfect complement to her brother as she dazzled a custom cream gown by Valentino with jewels by Emily P. Wheeler. Though the Running Point star and Oliver are no stranger to collaborating on their Sibling Revelry podcast, soon they’ll be sharing the screen on season two of her Netflix show. And while he didn’t give much away, the Rules of Engagement actor teased what it was like joining her on set.

“I did an episode,” Oliver, dad to three kids with Erinn Bartlett, revealed. “And it was very, very, very fun.”

And the duo further put their bond on display inside the ceremony Oliver stole the show during Kate’s “I’m an Actor” monologue.

As Kate began her segment by sharing that she “used to get in trouble for daydreaming,” and was accused of being “disruptive, irreverent, and dramatic,” Oliver was seen making faces in agreement behind her. He got laughs as he continued to react as Kate stated that her “makeup choices were too dramatic,” prompting him to make another elaborate expression as she exclaimed, she was described as “boy crazy and too loud when I walk in a room.”

For Oliver, it was all jokes as he joined the packed auditorium to applaud Kate— for her accomplishments at the end of her monologue as she announced, “I am an actor.”
