Kate Hudson made a surprise appearance at the 37th annual Producers Guild of America Awards on Saturday evening.

The actress, 46, opted out of the red carpet walk but was later pictured backstage with fellow A-listers.

She was seen flashing a bright smile alongside Kerry Condon inside of the event held at the Fairmont Century Plaza in Los Angeles alongside some of the best dressed celebrities of the awards season so far.

She was also later seen mingling with The Studio star Ike Barinholtz and Hamnet star Jessie Buckley, with the trio posing for a cheery group photo.

In those photos, the Song Sung Blue star turned heads in a nude slip dress adorned with silver beaded details and flower-petal inspired embellishments.

She was later changed into a muted pink midi dress with waterfall-inspired ruffles.

The low-cut neckline and the thin spaghetti straps were covered in dazzling gemstones.

Hudson added to the glamour with the addition of a massive, diamond-encrusted statement ring while posing in the middle of the party backstage.

She was among the many stars at the event but made a low-key arrival to present an award on stage.

She is one of many of Hollywood's top stars at the moment to be presenting awards to and spotlighting this year's top producing talent.

The most hotly anticipated category, the Darryl F. Zanuck Award for Outstanding Producer of Theatrical Motion Pictures, is filled with acclaimed movies that have emerged as contenders for the upcoming Oscars.

Bugonia was one of the nominees, with its leading lady Emma Stone and director Yorgos Lanthimos both among the producers who might accept the trophy.

Its competition includes the Brad Pitt vehicle F1, the Leonardo DiCaprio-led One Battle After Another directed by Paul Thomas Anderson and the Timothee Chalamet starrer Marty Supreme helmed by Josh Safdie.

Chloe Zhao's biopic Hamnet starring Paul Mescal and Jessie Buckley is also in contention, as is Guillermo Del Toro's Frankenstein, the Norwegian film Sentimental Value, the buzzy mystery Weapons and the rugged historical picture Train Dreams.
