Collin Gosselin has received praise from his stepmom Stephanie Lebo, the wife of his dad Jon Gosselin, after the release of his memoir.

In the Shadow of Eight: Surviving the Reality of My Childhood, published October 13, levels abuse allegations against his mom, 51-year-old Kate Gosselin, who has strenuously denied the claims.

Following the success of the book, 39-year-old Lebo, commended Collin, 22, in a gushing social media post.

She wrote on Instagram, 'Collin’s book has remained #1 in The New York Times Best Seller list for the second week in a row. Collin, you are changing the world, and I hope you truly understand that.'

Lebo went on to say, 'You’ve turned some of the darkest chapters of your life into something that will help others. You spent so many years fighting to be heard, and now the world is listening.'

The Daily Mail has contacted Kate and Collin's representatives for comment.

Collin rose to prominence alongside his parents and seven siblings on TLC's reality show Jon & Kate Plus 8.

The newly minted New York Times bestselling author signed a copy of his book for Lebo, which she shared in the carousel post.

While she covered the bulk of the message, she left the final bit of the note, which read: 'I love and appreciate you.'

Elsewhere in her Instagram caption on Friday, the stepmom of eight added, 'You are kind, intelligent, strong, and so incredibly loved. You are SEEN. You are HEARD. And most importantly, you have nothing left to prove to anyone. You never had to earn love, kindness, or a place to belong. You deserved them all along. ❤️.'

She urged her stepson, 'Never let anyone’s negativity overshadow how far you’ve come or the difference you’re making.'

And she assured Collin, 'You have an entire village behind you, and I am beyond honored to be part of it.

'Keep shining, Collin. The world is listening, and I couldn’t be prouder of you! ❤️ I love you… WE ALL love you.'

Jon, who wed Lebo in November 2025, commented, '❤️My love, my heart!!!'

In a post shared on Friday, Collin acknowledged the success of his book and support from his fans.

He wrote on Instagram: 'To everyone who has shown me love, believed in me, and supported my journey, thank you. You remind me every day that there is so much more love in this world than cruelty.'

The former TV star then called out his estranged parent, writing, 'To my mother, who continues to spread lies in an attempt to conceal her abuse and break my spirit, it’s not working. My determination to speak out for survivors will always be stronger than your attempts to silence me. You will never stop my mission to protect and advocate for other victims of abuse.'

He pivoted, 'Also, I am so deeply honored to announce that In the Shadow of Eight has once again earned the #1 spot on the New York Times Bestseller List for the second week in a row. Something I never could have imagined in my lifetime and something I could never have achieved without the incredible support of all of you. I am beyond grateful.'

In addition to Collin, Kate and ex-husband Jon – who split in 2009 – share twins Madelyn and Cara, 26, and Alexis, Hannah, Aaden, Leah and Joel, 22.

Collin first unveiled his book plans in June, promising to detail 'the reality of his childhood'

Kate recently defended herself amid Collin's abuse allegations.

She responded to a supporter in the comments section of a TikTok video she posted, showing her celebrating boyfriend Steve Nield's birthday.

When a follower commended her for the sacrifices she has made as a mom, Kate replied: 'Wow. Thank you. I needed this encouragement. I know who I am and my kids know who I truly am and to me, that's all that matters.'

Jon & Kate Plus 8 aired for five seasons on TLC spanning 2007-2017, once amassing 9.8M viewers with the fifth season premiere.

Kate filed for divorce from Jon in 2009 at the height of their reality TV fame, prompting a contentious custody battle.

Ultimately, Jon obtained full custody of Hannah and Collin, while his ex-wife was granted custody of the rest of the children.

During a TikTok live in 2025, Kate got honest about their divorce, acknowledging that the downfall of the marriage 'did not turn out well for my kids.'

'I don't know if you have kids or don't have kids,' she said to her online audience, 'But I made decisions based on how I would want to be treated, honestly.'

In a 2023 interview with Vice TV, Collin accused his mom of abuse and said she treated him differently than his siblings.

Kate rebutted in a statement to People, claiming, 'My son Collin, whom I love with all my heart, has received multiple psychiatric diagnoses over the years. For the safety of myself, his brothers and sisters and for his own well-being, he was placed in a facility following years of outpatient treatment which proved insufficient for his needs.'
