Kate Ferdinand and her husband Rio are finally returning to their home in Dubai after leaving for a 'nervous system reset' amid the conflict in the Middle East.

The couple fled the city last month after 'scary' Iranian drone attacks began in the UAE and they had been forced to shelter in their basement.

They left the city for their holiday home in Portugal, before returning to London for work and family commitments and then jetting to the Maldives for a holiday.

But the ex-TOWIE star, 34, and former footballer Rio, 47, have now revealed they will be back in Dubai on Friday to host a workout class at the Jumeirah Beach Hotel.

They both shared a video of themselves working out as they shared their plans to launch their new fitness venture, One Body Co.

The announcement read: 'We are hosting our FIRST @one.bodyco together community event this Friday at @jumeirahbeachhotel. Join us at 7:30am for a free workout, coffees and ice baths to leave feeling fully 'refreshed.

'If you want to attend, please register using the link in my bio and @one.bodyco bio. We really wanted to create a space to move your body, clear your mind and reconnect with others. We hope to see you there.'

They are returning following a trip to the Maldives, which Kate recently described as a 'nervous system reset' on her Instagram page.

She shared a gallery of recent photos, one of which showed off her incredible figure as she stripped down to a skimpy yellow bikini.

In one sizzling snap, Kate looked phenomenal as she showed off her toned physique as she donned the bikini while laying on a sandy beach.

Kate also shared adorable snaps of the children playing in the water and football, following in their father's footsteps.

Kate and Rio also posed for a loved-up snap together on the beach as the sun set behind them.

Meanwhile, in an earlier update to fans, Kate revealed how she and Tia, 14, would be facing their fears by submerging themselves with sharks.

Sharing a clip on her Instagram stories as they observed the ocean predators, Kate said to fans: 'Are Tia and I brave enough to get in?'

It turns out the duo were, as they shared eye-grabbing footage of them under the clear blue water.

Both women could be seen swimming close to each other as the intrigued sharks swam around them.

Kate captioned the clip: 'We done it! Tia was much braver than me, I was terrified.'

Kate and Rio also share two-year-old daughter Shae, Cree, five, and she is step-mum to Rio's children Lorenz, 19, and Tate, 17, and Tia, 14 - whose mother Rebecca Ellison tragically passed away from breast cancer aged 34 in 2009.

The Daily Mail previously revealed that the couple fled war-torn Dubai and were staying at their luxury Portugal holiday home.

Kate and Rio left their £6.5 million Dubai home after the desert paradise was hit by Iran's suicide drones and missiles.

Last month, Rio posted a picture of himself bare-chested on his socials, sipping a bottle of Portuguese Super Bock beer on a sun-kissed terrace.

He wrote: 'That feeling when Liverpool + Chelsea drop points in the race for the top 4'.

The ex-Old Trafford and England legend added two clinking beer glass emojis before signing off saying: 'Happy Saturday people!'

The selfie was taken at the villa the star owns on the Algarve near Quinta do Lago where he runs summer football camps, and where he and Kate spent last summer on holiday with their children.

The couple made the move to Dubai with his daughter Tia and their two children together son Cree and daughter Shae.

Rio's - who quit as a pundit for TNT last year - two older sons, Lorenz and Tate remained in the UK.

Shortly after they upped sticks, Kate wrote how she was pining for the UK and wrote: 'I am enjoying it, but I miss home quite a lot.

'I get upset. I miss the big boys a lot and I'm just struggling with that. I know this decision is right for my younger children and as a family we are settled there, but the boys are following their football careers.

'So, they're doing what they want to do otherwise they'd be with us. But it's very hard because we've been through so much as a family and we've always been together and that's a huge adjustment.'

Then earlier this month, speaking about living in Dubai during the holy Muslim month of Ramadan, she said: 'The kids have shorter days, my children are going to school from 8.45am and they get picked up at 1pm, so like they're doing half days.

'Everything changes, I like the energy, it's quite calming – not when the kids come back at 1pm by the way – it's just something that I've not experienced before.

'It's a different vibe and I feel like living in a country with different religions and so many different cultures, you learn so much and pick up so much.

'My children are learning things that they wouldn't… they might learn it in the UK, but they wouldn't actively be living it. That's something that I really love a
