Karl Stefanovic's latest media venture has come to an abrupt end, with ARN dropping him from the radio show, The Long Weekend, which he co-hosted alongside Eddie McGuire.

It's a fresh blow to Stefanovic after it was confirmed he had left the Today show and Channel Nine last week following his interview with British far-right commentator Tommy Robinson on his own podcast, The Karl Stefanovic Show.

Stefanovic had appeared on just two episodes of the three-hour Friday show, broadcast across ARN's Gold radio network, before becoming embroiled in the controversy.

According to the AFR, sources revealed the network made the decision to end their relationship this week.

Stefanovic's contract was worth approximately $200,000 for the rest of the year.

McGuire will reportedly continue to host the radio show without him.

The IP addresses for kyleandkarl.com.au and karlandkyle.com.au were registered to Sandilands' company, King Kyle Group Pty Ltd.

In 2024, King Kyle also registered themorningmen.com.au and morningmen.com.au - another hint at a potential collaboration with Stefanovic.

'It is something they've been talking about for a while,' a source close to the duo told The Daily Telegraph.

Sandilands - who recently settled with his former employer ARN for $12 million - has apparently been keeping in close contact with Stefanovic since his departure from Nine last week.

Daily Mail has reached out to Stefanovic, ARN and Sandilands for comment.

The television star, who was on two weeks' leave in London, was told the network 'wanted to part ways' soon after.

In the wake of his departure, Stefanovic shared a video online declaring, 'I am free'.

He addressed his Today show fans in the clip, saying the last few days 'hadn't been easy' but he was happy to be 'truly independent' at last.

Stefanovic went on to thank the viewers of his independent podcast and stressed the importance of 'freedom of speech'.

In a statement to The Daily Mail, Channel Nine said that Stefanovic could not continue working at the network while also hosting his podcast.

Meanwhile, it has been reported that Channel 7 and Network Ten have 'privately ruled out hiring' Stefanovic.

'Stefanovic is unlikely to front a show on Australian commercial television again,' The Australian alleged.

There is some good news, however, with the publication reporting that the television host has avoided a court battle with his former employer.

Nine and Stefanovic are believed to have agreed to an undisclosed six-figure settlement as part of his termination package.

The TV star, who has been a Nine stalwart for some 25 years, had six months and over $1 million left to be paid on his 12-month contract.
