Karl Stefanovic has revealed he wishes that Channel Seven's Natalie Barr was nominated at the upcoming 2026 Logie Awards, instead of himself and former co-host Sarah Abo.
The former Channel Nine golden boy, 52, let his feelings be known after his close friend Kyle Sandilands called out her looks after appearing on Sunrise.
Both Stefanovic and former Today co-star Sarah Abo are nominated for the Ray Martin Award for Most Popular News or Public Affairs Presenter at Sunday's Logie Awards, while Natalie Barr is not in the running.
'I think Nat Barr should get the nomination in my place,' Stefanovic told the Daily Telegraph.
'The woman is brilliant... has been for years. She deserves to be in that company,' he continued.
He then dismissed rumours that he would still be attending the ceremony despite leaving the Today show in June.

'No. [It would be a] tad awkward,' he said.
Karl's absence will mean he won't have any awkward run-ins with his former Channel Nine co-stars, after he turned his back on mainstream media following his controversial interview with British far-right activist Tommy Robinson.
Karl uploaded his interview with Robinson to the YouTube channel for his podcast, The Karl Stefanovic Show, before removing it less than 12 hours later following widespread backlash.
During the episode, the pair discussed Islam, immigration and Australian politics.
Karl – who has been branded 'Joe Bogan' thanks to his attempt at replicating the success of Joe Rogan's podcast – left the network in June following his interview with Robinson, which was uploaded but then deleted from his independent podcast, The Karl Stefanovic Show.
Robinson has been a prominent figure in right-wing activism in the UK for almost a decade and has a lengthy criminal record.
His convictions include violence, public order offences, contempt of court, stalking and harassing journalists, as well as fraud-related offences.

Karl, one of Australia's most famous television presenters, has taken to interviewing right-wing personalities on his podcast, which he launched in January.
He has welcomed the likes of Hanson, and others from the party such as Barnaby Joyce and Sean Bell, onto the show.
Other right-wing guests include former Liberal prime ministers Tony Abbott and John Howard, and Coalition figures Alex Antic, Matt Canavan and Jacinta Nampijinpa Price.
