Kaia Gerber looked the spitting image of her supermodel mother, Cindy Crawford, as she arrived at the US Open in New York on Tuesday.

The fashionista, 24, turned heads in a black figure-hugging pencil dress which she teamed with black peep toe heels and a tiger print shoulder bag.

Kaia was joined by her The Shards co-star Homer Gere, 26, who is the son of Richard Gere

The pair watched Swiss former tennis player Roger Federer in action during the Roger Federer: An Icon Returns to New York exhibition match during the US Open Fan Week at the Arthur Ashe Stadium.

Cindy, 60, and Richard, 76, were the power couple of the early '90s.

The pair enjoyed a whirlwind romance, tying the knot in Las Vegas before divorcing four years later.

After their split, they have largely avoided each other, with the supermodel, 60, since confessing that the Pretty Woman actor, 76, was 'like a stranger' to her

That was until their children Kaia and Homer became co-stars in Ryan Murphy's upcoming mini-series The Shards.

At the world premiere in New York earlier this week, Homer looked back on how he and Kaia broke the ice when first meeting up as a cast.

'It's really funny, the odds are funny,' Homer told USA Today.

'We had never met, actually, before shooting.

'We met two weeks before at a bar, with all the cast and it was our first kind of like, let's meet each other, and she was lovely,' he explained.

'Immediately, I think me or her were like, should we address the elephant in the room?'

He added that Kaia is 'a lovely actress' and that they have become 'really close'.

Kaia is already a big name in the modelling world, just like her mother Cindy (pictured right)

The Shards, based on the best-selling novel by American Psycho author Bret Easton Ellis, is an incredibly violent and sexually charged story about a serial killer who stalks a group of privileged high schoolers in 1980s Los Angeles.

The novel is a fictionalised version of Bret's adolescence and many of the characters are based on real life people.

According to the show's official logline, 'Igby Rigney stars as Bret, an aspiring writer and keenly observant teenager whose reality begins to unravel with the arrival of a mysterious and magnetic new student, Robert Mallory (played by Homer).

'Transferring in just before his senior year, Robert's appearance coincides with the growing terror of The Trawler, a serial killer targeting teenagers across the city,' it continues.

'Alongside Bret is his elite social circle, which includes Susan Reynolds (played by Kaia), Debbie Schaffer (Hayes Warner) and Thom Wright (Graham Campbell), a glamorous and deeply entangled group drawn into a life of wealth, beauty, parties and excess.

'The promise of their youth is contrasted with the dark and cynical world of the adults surrounding them: Terry Schaffer (Wes Bentley), Liz Schaffer (Evan Rachel Wood) and Steven Reinhardt (Jordan Roth).'
