Los Angeles residents were stunned to find Justin Bieber performing a spontaneous set in one of the city's most crime-ridden neighborhoods on Tuesday.
The 32-year-old pop star, who just celebrated eight years of marriage with Hailey Bieber, performed his 2025 hit song Yukon at the infamously unsafe MacArthur Park in a now-viral video shared across the internet.
Dressed in olive green shorts, a white T-shirt, and beige sneakers from his brand SKYLRK, the singer posted up in a patch of grass with several bandmates as he delivered a stripped down rendition of his music.
A post from Hunter Woelfle, whose Instagram handle is @realdairylarry, has over 4 million views after he captured the hitmaker doing what he does best.
Bieber even caught the attention of Los Angeles District Attorney Nathan Hochman, who reacted to the surprise pop-up event on X.
He wrote on Tuesday night that the singer's unexpected appearance is 'a testament to the progress we are achieving to take back the park from drug dealers and enliven it for families.'

Hochman added about the Grammy-winning music artist, 'He's definitely on the invite list for next year's Labor Day weekend picnic!'
Woelfle wrote over the sensational video, 'Why is Justin Bieber playing MacArthur Park???'
Less than four months ago, the park was raided by Los Angeles police and federal agents, per the LA Times.
The sweep resulted in 13 people being arrested after law enforcement warned that those using drugs would be searched and detained.
The area is mostly made up of working class and immigrant residents.
According to the Times, Hochman previously admitted, 'The local fire department spends much more time trying to revive people [from overdosing] with Narcan that were on death's door than they do putting out fires in this area.'
Following Bieber's seemingly impromptu performance, one person commented on Woelfle's Instagram post, 'Watch out MacArthur Park, all the TikTokers are gonna be filling the place up in droves tomorrow.'
A top comment with more than 33,000 likes read, 'He does this!!! lol one night he was down the street from us in Laguna Beach just playing his guitar with Axl Rose singing by the ocean under the moonlight. He just loves music and people. It's awesome to see.'

Bieber's latest no-fuss performance comes after he performed several other low-key shows throughout the year.
In February, he appeared shirtless on the Grammys stage with nothing but a microphone and guitar to assist his vocals as he strummed his way through Yukon, which was featured on his 2025 album Swag.
Then, in back-to-back headlining Coachella performances in April, he sang through his vast music catalogue, at times singing alongside his younger self as he loaded up his old YouTube videos on a laptop.
His July performance at the FIFA halftime show featured more of the same, with the crooner wearing a headset as he carried out a stirring version of his acoustic song Everything Hallelujah at MetLife Stadium in New Jersey.
