Jurassic World 4 Is Set Up To Destroy Both Marvel & DC In 2025

The upcoming Jurassic World Rebirth is technically a sequel to Dominion, yet it can also be described as the first chapter of a new series of films. From the “Rebirth” title to the so far entirely new cast, Jurassic World Rebirth is positioning itself as a fresh start for the franchise. Given how recognizable the Jurassic Park/World IP is, plus the strong box office performances of the last three films, Jurassic World Rebirth should be a guaranteed hit for Universal, even though it will go up against two highly anticipated superhero movies.

Jurassic World Rebirth Premiers July 2, 2025

As of the writing of this article, Jurassic World Rebirth, Superman, and The Fantastic Four: First Steps are all set to come out in July 2025. Originally titled Superman: Legacy, James Gunn’s Superman will be released on July 11, 2025, as the first movie in the new DCU. Superman will be the first solo Superman film since 2013’s Man of Steel and is expected to set up the rest of DC Studios’ movie and TV slate. With an entire cinematic set to come out of it, Superman is one of DC’s most important releases in years.

The Fantastic Four: First Steps, which comes out on July 25, 2025, is also a very important film for its franchise. Not only will it be the first Fantastic Four movie produced by Marvel Studios – therefore a part of the MCU – but it will also tie directly into Marvel’s plans for the future, particularly the next two Avengers films. Given the popularity of the Fantastic Four and their role in Marvel's history, their arrival in the MCU comes with a lot of anticipation. Still, Jurassic World Rebirth is in a good position to be the winner of next summer's box office.

The fact that Dominion made $1 billion at the worldwide box office despite poor reviews puts into perspective how strong the Jurassic franchise is. Therefore, with Jurassic World Rebirth being a new beginning for the saga with an exciting cast led by Scarlett Johansson and Mahershala Ali, there is no reason to believe it won’t be a billion-dollar movie either unless it turns out to be a very disappointing film. Both The Lost World and Dominion prove that even a not-so-great Jurassic Park film will most likely perform well.
