Another new month brings another list of exciting games for us to play soon, and July 2026 has something for everyone. Whether you're looking forward to the story coming in Halo: Campaign Evolved, or just wanting to chat with Winnie the Pooh in Disney Dreamlight Valley, this month has you covered. Once again, all genres are covered with at least something, and there's even a unique twist on massive dinosaurs holding equally massive swords in their mouths in Dinoblade.
If you're looking for some fun party games while school is out, there are quite a few great multiplayer options as well, including the sequel to the hilarious co-op game Heave Ho. Or, perhaps you're wanting a bit of a Summerween vibe while relaxing in the sun, in which case you may enjoy the vampiric farming sim Moonlight Peaks or even the atmospheric horror simulator Security 51. Whatever your vibe this July, we've got the games for you.
The full list of every game releasing in July 2026 is provided in a table further down in this article. Note that, of course, all dates provided are subject to change as games are delayed or new announcements arrive.
Halo: Campaign Evolved Remakes The Story In An Exciting Way
Unlike most Halo games, which feature competitive multiplayer modes, the upcoming Halo: Campaign Evolved is a campaign-focused game. Based on the story behind Halo: Combat Evolved, this version not only features upgraded visuals but includes a reimagined mission set with new levels and narrative to better fit with the overall world of Halo.
Campaign Evolved rebuilt the campaign from the ground up, with stunning new HD graphics, mechanics, and three new missions. Of course, the game still has some multiplayer, with up to 4-player online co-op, so you can enjoy seeing the expanded array of guns, vehicles, and more with your friends.
Assassin's Creed Black Flag Resynced Brings A Modern Look To A Classic Game
The 2013 game Assassin's Creed IV: Black Flag has frequently been noted to be one of the best games in the franchise, although not without its problems. This month we will get a complete remake of the game, which has zero code from the original title, and a lot of improvements. Specifically, the game is touted to be better thanks to having no loading screens, making it a truly open world experience, as well as stunning visuals in lighting and water, and new storylines.
Assassin's Creed Black Flag Resynced still features a beautiful open-world where players can enjoy using stealth and parkour mechanics in the action-adventure pirating experience in the Caribbean. But this time there are brand-new missions, and the Freedom Cry DLC has been removed to focus more on Edward.
Moonlight Peaks Blends Cozy Farming With The Spooky Supernatural
Switching gears entirely, developer Little Chicken Game Company is releasing a supernaturally heartwarming take on life and farming sims. In the most basic of descriptions, it could be considered Stardew Valley with werewolves and witches. However, there seems to be much more to it than just being a Stardew Valley lookalike.
While raising mystical crops, learning spell-casting and potion-making, and finding a little romance, your character in Moonlight Peaks is also working to show that compassion is possible even for undead creatures of the night. Unlike most farming sims where you need to head to bed as night falls, here you'll need to head to your coffin before the sun comes up instead.
Dark magic and undead monsters are balanced out with flower arranging and card games, giving Moonlight Peaks the look of a game that gives players a lot of options on how to play.
Multiplayer Mayhem For Summer Gaming Parties
Summer can also bring a lot of people together. This could be friends hanging out to enjoy a school-free summer vacation, or family vacations leading everyone to one destination. Whatever the reason, it also means that some multiplayer chaos can be a good way to bring a few laughs.
This July we have the sequel to one of my favorite party games, Heave Ho 2. There are also a few sports options, like Backyard Baseball, or even a co-op bullet-hell experience of MineGeon: Renegades.
Every Game Releasing In July 2026
Of course, there are far too many games coming out this month to be able to go into much depth on all of them, or even very many of them. From popular franchises like Splatoon, Cozy Grove, and Doom to the lesser-known debuts of games like Farlands and D-Topia, this list is likely to include several that could catch your eye.

Again, there are also many, many more games out there that are releasing this month that could be a new favorite, but we didn't know about in time to add to this list. Therefore, we encourage you to keep an eye out for even more games on your preferred platforms, particularly titles from indie developers.
Although, we certainly wouldn't blame you if you would rather spend the month experiencing everything that Halo: Campaign Evolved has to offer, either.
