Josie Gibson has revealed she is undergoing 'alternative healing' in a hyperbaric oxygen chamber as she shared a new video on Instagram on Thursday.

The This Morning host, 41, looked in good spirits as she relaxed in the small chamber wearing an oxygen mask.

Josie showed off her weight loss in a black sports bra as she held up a peace sign to the camera.

Hyperbaric oxygen chamber help patients breathe 100% oxygen at 1.5 to 3 times normal atmospheric pressure.

The process is often used in medical settings for decompression sickness and severe infections, increases blood oxygen levels, boosts tissue repair, reduces swelling, and promotes healing.

It is unknown why Josie needs the treatment as she simply wrote: 'Some women treat themselves to designer handbags and some women treat themselves to hyperbaric oxygen chamber #alternativehealing'.

It comes days after news broke that Josie has reportedly signed up as the first celebrity contestant on this years Strictly Come Dancing.

The presenter is already in advanced talks to star on the BBC competition, which will kick-start in September with a new look after several of the professional dancers were axed.

The BBC, who missed out on signing Josie three years ago to ITV rival I'm A Celebrity, are hoping the presenter's 'down-to-earth charm' will be a hit with viewers.

A source told The Sun: 'Josie has been on the BBC's radar for a while and they've not given up their pursuit. They're hoping this year is the year, and talks are progressing well.

'Bosses are convinced her down-to-earth charm will be the boost this year's new-look show needs.

'Warm and engaging, she's just what they require right now and will be a sure-fire hit with fans.'

The BBC are also in the process of replacing long-time hosts Claudia Winkleman, 54, and Tess Daly, 57.

Daily Mail have contacted Josie and the BBC's representatives for comment.

After a huge bidding war for Josie in 2023, I'm A Celebrity came out on top but the star only finished in fourth place.

The stunner is a regular co-host on This Morning alongside Ben Shephard, Cat Deeley, Dermot O'Leary and Alison Hammond.

Josie found to fame in 2010 by winning the 11th series of Big Brother, achieving the highest percentage of any public vote.

She joined This Morning as a competition announcer in 2019 and was given her first presenting trial two years later.

It comes days after Josie said that she's 'struggling and stressed' juggling being a working single mother.

The TV presenter shares son Reggie, seven, with her ex and has joked that 'mums shouldn't look up to her' as a role model as she finds things tough sometimes.

Josie also said she isn't looking for a full-time position on This Morning - where she does guest segments and hosting - as she want to focus on being a parent.

She told Ok! Magazine: 'Mums don't look up to me. I'm juggling, I'm struggling, I'm stressed.

'I am just like any other mum out there. It's all a juggle and it's all a learning curve and I am just trying to hold it together.'

She added of her reasons for staying part time with This Morning: 'I only get to be a mum once and you never get that time back.

'I need to be down this neck of the woods. I love the West Country. That's where I'm from. That's where I feel myself and that's where I feel like I can grow.'

Josie has baffled neighbours about why she has stayed put, despite her lucrative TV career.

The star moved into a caravan with her son Reggie last year while extensive renovations are done on her home.

Insiders say Josie, who found fame on Big Brother, is happy to shun fame and 'happily live in a caravan forever' but would love to have a partner.

It comes as fans' hopes Josie had found love after the world's hottest farrier' was spotted cosying up to her at Cheltenham earlier this month were dashed, as it was revealed he is engaged.

A source told The Sun: 'Josie will sing it from the rooftops: she wants to settle down with a nice man and give her son a stable family life.

'You can tell from the way she talks she's been burned in the past, but she's still optimistic, she is someone who loves being in love and often gives relationship advice to those going through it.'

They added Josie 'doesn't need mansion or expensive things' to be happy, but is still working towards finding a man she can 'truly rely on'.

Earlier this month, Josie set tongues wagging when she was pictured alongside social media star Sam Wolfenden while presenting This Morning at the races together.

Fans had hoped this could be a new romance for the Big Brother star, however it's now been reported that Sam is very much taken, and is in fact engaged to his childhood sweetheart Grace Richardson.

It's thought that the couple, who met at school and got engaged in 2019, share a daughter together.

Sources claimed Samuel has kept his relationship secret from his social media following to boost his profile as a hunky farrier.

Meanwhile, Josie is documenting the renovation of her home on her show Josie Gibson's Big Country Build.

Josie has also appeared on 8 Out of 10 Cats, Loose Women, The Jump, Cooking with the Stars, I'm A Celebrity and The Masked Singer UK.
