Jose Canseco surprises daughter Josie on The Surreal Life as celebrities face family reunions on MTV reality show

Josie Canseco was shocked when her father Jose Canseco showed up at the cast house in Colombia on Tuesday's episode of The Surreal Life: Villa of Secrets on MTV.

A car pulled up outside, and Josie's father Jose Canseco, 60, knocked on the door. Olympic skater Johnny Weir opened the door and let him in. 

Josie was shocked when she saw her father walk in but got up and hugged him and apologized for being in her bathing suit.

When the season eight episode titled 'A Different Type of Spiritual Awakening' opened, Josie, 26, was talking about her strained relationship with her father growing up and how she grew up really fast.

'My parents were just not around that much and I moved to New York at 17,' Josie said in a confessional. 'It was a lonely time where I had to figure out everything for myself.'

Kim Zolciak, 46, asked her if she ever heard her parents say they loved her growing up.

'I heard it a lot, but it was more the physical,' Josie said. 'Or just showing up when your kid needs you. Like showing up to things that are important to me. If it was a cheer competition or a dance recital or you know what I mean just stuff like that.'

'I get it,' Kim said.

'Josie's always positive and optimistic,' Kim said in a confessional. 'But she had experienced so much in such a short amount of time, she's just 26 years old.'

'If you don't heal your childhood stuff, like you will marry somebody who's just like your mom or your dad,' Kim said. 'So I married my mother. Yeah, no, narcissist. I don't think you want to do that.'

Rapper O.T. Genasis, 37, also shared about how tough dating was while being a celebrity.

'Can't usually open up to somebody else,' O.T. said. 'You always have got to be like, what's your motive?'

'I got a friend Nipsey Hussle, he got killed going back to his neighborhood to give back,' O.T. said.

O.T. said 50 Cent gave him his first opportunity and even 50 Cent got shot nine times in his own neighborhood in front of his grandmother's house.

'I always got to be on my toes,' O.T. said.

O.T. said he felt happy to be able to open up in the villa. 

The computer said their next secret mission was about self-love and to get in touch with themselves.   

The group then got into a van and went to a ceremonial hut for a cacao ceremony.

They were all told to close their eyes by a woman named Maria. They were each given a bowl of cacao to drink.

'It tasted like cake mix,' Macy Gray, 56, said.

Maria then invited the group to do an ecstatic dance together.

'Maria just had the nicest a** and boobs and just wham,' Josie said in a confessional. 'And the boys were like …'

'She took her jacket off and that a** was that big and it was like ''sweet Jesus'',' Kim said in a confessional.

'And that woke me up,' Chet Hanks said. 'Now I'm up.'

Maria got them up dancing.

'She gets up, she's really feeling it and then it got a little bit sexual,' Macy said in a confessional. 'Then it just got weird.'

Maria told them to then dance and let their animals out.

'I don't think there is a word for the scene unfolding in front of me,' skater Johnny Weir, 40, said.

'I became the wolf man,' Chet said.

'Chester is just smelling Maria,' Johnny said.

They laid down and enjoyed a sound bath.

'I was really immersed in it the whole time,' Tyler Posey said. 'I felt free and happy. I really feel like I really love you guys.'

Maria gave Chet her number after he asked.

'Maria is definitely my type,' Chet said.

The next morning, Josie told O.T. that she was struggling with being open and it has to do with her parents and what they did and didn't do.

'There was a time when I hated both of them,' Josie said.

Josie said she got very rebellious growing up and there was no one to tell her yes or no. O.T. said that made him feel sad that she 'had to pay for all her father's mistakes.'

Macy discovered that Ally Brooke, 31, was dating her manager Will Bracey.

'Being in the industry you were kind of told that hey you have to be single to be more sellable and to be more desirable,' Ally said in a confessional. 'So we kind of keep our relationship private because of that.'

Jose had also been in The Surreal Life season five. The computer told them their clue for the day's secret mission was to recharge and reconnect. The doorbell rang and Jesse, Tyler Posey's brother, showed up.

'What are you doing here?' Tyler, 32, said.

Tyler was happy and said he loved sharing things with his brother.

'Are all our family coming here,' Tyler asked Chet. 'Is Pops coming here?'

'I highly doubt that,' Chet said.

Jose asked Chet if Tom Hanks was really his dad.

'Aren't you proud of having him as your father?' Jose said. 'I love him.'

'Me and Josie, we are similar in that my dad's fame was a really big deal to everybody, so I'm looking at her and I feel like I'm starting to get to know her better,' Chet said in a confessional. 'And I am just thinking, 'that's really dope.''

Ally ran when her boyfriend Will showed up at the house. She ran and hugged him.

Josie told her father she was single but had baby fever.

'You're too young,' Jose said. 'You're not ready.'

He told her that settling down would not benefit her. He told her to take her time before she had kids.

'Daddy would know,' Jose said.

O.T.'s best friend A.D. showed up. Then, Kim's 27-year-old daughter Brielle Karenna. Chet's friend Drew Arthur also walked in. Patrick, Johnny's friend, arrived next.

Brielle said she was proud of her mother for doing something for herself.

Lastly, Aanisha, Macy's daughter, walked in. Macy hugged her.

Macy said she didn't want her daughter to drink in the house because she said she gets a little 'off the chain.'

'I was just nervous about her doing that,' Macy said.

Aanisha walked into the house when a group was ready to take shots. Macy walked in to stop her. Later, Aanisha walked into the kitchen and asked Johnny where she could get a shot. 

'Macy's daughter Aanisha is all about sneaking a little boop, boop when Macy isn't looking,' Johnny said.

Aanisha went in the kitchen and poured herself a drink but Macy walked in and caught her.

'I said please don't do your drunk thing here,' Macy said.
