Jhene Aiko has responded to backlash over her expressing heartbreak after losing her Pacific Palisades mansion in the ongoing wildfires in Los Angeles.

The 36-year-old music artist lost her $5.6 million home, where she lived with her two children — 16-year-old daughter Namiko and two-year-old son Noah, the latter whom she shares with rapper Big Sean, also 36.

Aiko took to Instagram on Thursday to reveal that her home had 'burned to the ground' in a solemn post. 'Me and my children's home is gone [heartbreak emoji] burned to the ground with all of our things inside,' she wrote.

Following the news, some social media users took to the comments of a post shared by The Shade Room to voice criticism, noting that she can afford to replace the property while others are less economically stable.

The B.S. hitmaker joined the discourse to write, 'The fact some of you think I have Paris Hilton money is wild.'

She continued, 'I don't got it like that but I do have a big, loving family that is worth more than anything.'

One person wrote online that Jhené acts like she doesn't 'have the money' to recover from the loss.

'I hate stuff like this [because you're] not struggling AT ALL!' the person added in the aggressive note.

Someone else weighed in, 'I'm not gonna lie, I feel bad but unlike most people in this situation, she can literally just buy a new house so I don't feel as much sympathy for her.'

Another agreed about Aiko, 'She [has] money but other people don't.'

The mother-of-two's response continued, 'When I was in the 2nd grade, our home burned down with everything in it. I never understood why some of the kids at school were so mean about it, because they thought we were rich when we weren't.'

She explained, 'But they thought we were rich because we had love!! My family and our friends came together and made sure my mom and me and my siblings had at least 1 new sweat suit and 1 pair of shoes the very next day.'

Reflecting on the present day, she noted, 'I am fortunate enough to be in a better situation than back then. And I pray I can have as much grace as my mother did during that time.'

Finally, she said, 'I work very hard for my family. I pray that you all stay safe. God Bless.'

On Tuesday, before her home was reduced to ash and debris, the LA-bred singer-songwriter shared an Instagram post that said she was 'praying for our house and our community'.

She also wrote,'Thank You God for your Grace thus far.'

The home, built in the 1980s, was two stories tall, boasted five bedrooms, five bathrooms, and a square footage of 4,692, according to Traded LA.

A few homes in the area were miraculously spared by the roaring flames, including properties belonging to Bill Hader, Jennifer Love Hewitt, Rebel Wilson, and Tom Brady.

The devastation in Southern California unfolded on Tuesday morning when a combination of heavy wind and lack of rain created the perfect condition for a brush fire.

The flames quickly spread and as of Friday evening, 21,317 acres of land have been scorched in the Palisades fire alone, with firefighters still working around the clock to contain the flames there and at other locations throughout the sprawling city.

Aiko is one of the many celebrities who have lost their properties due to the Pacific Palisades wildfire

Hilton lost her Malibu mansion in the blaze and launched an emergency fund, starting with a $100,000 donation to other victims.

Along with her major donation, Hilton revealed that she will match 'additional dollars raised up to $100,000 more' and plans to volunteer on site this weekend.

She wrote online, 'My heart is with everyone impacted by the devastating fires here in LA. While I've lost my Malibu home, my thoughts are with the countless families who have lost so much more — their homes, cherished keepsakes, the communities they loved, and their sense of stability.

'As a mom, I can't imagine the pain and fear of not having a safe place for your babies so I'm launching an emergency fund through my nonprofit 11:11 Media Impact to support displaced families with young children.

'I'm starting with a personal contribution of $100,000, and will be matching additional dollars raised up to $100,000 more. I am looking for others to donate and match alongside me to do our part!'
