Jessie Buckley cuts a glamorous figure in a strapless black dress as she leads the brits attending Oscars luncheon in Beverly Hills

Jessie Buckley cut a glamorous figure as she led the Brits attending the 98th Academy Awards Oscar nominees luncheon at the Beverly Hilton Hotel in Beverly Hills on Tuesday evening. 

The Irish actress, 36, who has been nominated for Best Actress for her leading role in Hamnet, looked stunning in a strapless black dress as she posed on the red carpet ahead of the event.

Striking a series of poses for the cameras, Jessie added inches to her frame with a pair of black pointed court heels. 

Letting the dress take centre stage, the star kept her accessories minimal, opting for a blue choker necklace. 

She appeared in high spirits as she shared laughs on the red carpet before heading inside the hotel for the star-studded luncheon. 

Also in attendance were British actors Stephen Fry, Lee Knight, Mark Strong and Wunmi Mosaku, along with film music composer Nicholas Pike. 

Stephen, 68, appears in the 2026 Oscar-nominated film A Friend of Dorothy, which is in contention for Best Live Action Short Film at the 98th Academy Awards. 

He looked dapper in a navy suit with a multicoloured checked print as he joined US producer Andrew Freedman at the glitzy event. 

Lee, the writer and director of A Friend of Dorothy, has also received an Oscar nomination for his debut film.

He opted for a suave black suit paired with a matching cable-knit jumper as he caught up with Jessie at the event. 

Meanwhile, Wunmi Mosaku, 39, who has been nominated for Best Performance by an Actress in a Supporting Role for her role in the vampire horror movie Sinners, also attended the luncheon.

The actress, who is currently expecting her second child, looked radiant in a slinky green maxi dress on the red carpet.

Film music composer Nicholas, 71, has been nominated for Best Original Song for Sweet Dreams of Joy from the documentary Viva Verdi! 

He wore a grey suit paired with a white T-shirt and trainers as he posed for cameras. 

Meanwhile, British casting director Nina, 59, has been nominated for Best Achievement in Casting at the 2026 Academy Awards for her work on the film Hamnet. 

She looked chic in a black shirt paired with brown wide-leg trousers as she arrived at the luncheon. 

It was announced last month that Jessie has earned an Oscar nomination for Best Actress in a Leading Role for Hamnet.

After bagging a Golden Globe and a Critics' Choice Award this month, Jessie will go into the March 15 ceremony in Los Angeles as a nominee, four years after she earned a nod for The Lost Daughter. 

Actress in a Leading Role will be a highly competitive field as Jessie goes up against Rose Byrne - If I Had Legs I'd Kick You, Kate Hudson - Song Sung Blue, Renate Reinsve - Sentimental Value and Emma Stone - Bugonia.

Jessie said she is 'so proud and honoured' to have been nominated for her portrayal of Agatha Shakespeare.

Speaking with The Hollywood Reporter, she said: 'My baby's screaming in the background, but I am thrilled. I'm so proud and honoured to be beside all those extraordinary women and to be there with Hamnet. I'm delighted.'

Hamnet is nominated for a total of eight awards, including the coveted Best Picture accolade and Best Director for Chloe Zhao, but Paul Mescal was a surprise snub in the Best Supporting Actor category.

However, Jessie believes her own recognition 'belongs' to her co-star just as much as it does to herself because of how much she needed him for her own performance.

Asked her reaction to his omission, she said: 'Yeah, look, I think he's extraordinary in this film. I know I've met a partner for life in doing this with him. I don't know what to say apart from he is, to me, my absolute.

'His artistry is something that will continue to grow and be a theme in so many different ways.

'I know what we created together is something that's so special to us, and I hold that so dearly in my heart, and there's no part of Agnes that exists without Paul.' 

'There's no part of what I created or what we created in this story which exists without Paul and what he poured into this story. 

'So what is recognised belongs to him as much as him being recognised in his own category would.'

The main battle coming March 15 will be Timothée Chalamet vs Leonardo DiCaprio, who face off in the coveted Best Actor category. 

Timothée, 30, received a nod for Marty Supreme while Leo, 51, earned it for One Battle After Another, as the A-listers will face off against Ethan Hawke - Blue Moon, Michael B. Jordan - Sinners and Wagner Moura - The Secret Agent.
