Jessica Fox and Montana Cox ensured fashion was the real winner as they attended the Gucci x Padel Invitational at the Sydney Opera House on Friday.

Olympic champion Jessica, 32, looked red hot in a striking scarlet coat decorated with gold Gucci fastenings.

The canoe slalom star added a playful flourish with a colourful floral headscarf, worn over her glossy brunette waves.

She accessorised with a black quilted Gucci shoulder bag featuring the label's unmistakable red-and-green stripe, along with delicate jewellery and classic patent pumps.

A glimpse of a patterned skirt beneath her statement coat tied the eye-catching ensemble together.

Jessica appeared in high spirits as she posed beside the court, proving she knows how to make a splash even when there is no white water in sight.

Meanwhile, Australia's Next Top Model winner Montana, 32, served up a dramatically different look for the harbour-side occasion.

The statuesque model put on a leggy display in an oversized black leather blazer, which she wore as a daring minidress.

Its plunging neckline added to the outfit's sultry appeal, while sheer tights and glossy black heels showcased her famous pins.

Montana completed the all-black ensemble with a structured Gucci handbag and wore her long brunette locks loose around her shoulders, with a heavy fringe framing her striking features.

Elle Ferguson also aced the fashion brief in a relaxed navy trouser suit.

The influencer wore an oversized double-breasted blazer with flowing wide-leg trousers and sharply pointed black boots.

She added a recognisable Gucci flourish with a black top-handle bag featuring the label's signature green-and-red stripe.

Elle wore her long blonde hair in loose waves and completed her courtside look with layered gold necklaces, statement rings and smoky eye makeup.

Friday's fashionable gathering marked the beginning of a major weekend for padel, the racquet sport currently sweeping the globe.

A purpose-built glass court has taken over the Sydney Opera House's Northern Broadwalk for the inaugural Padel Invitational, staged on August 15 and 16.

The unusual venue offers players and spectators panoramic harbour views - although the glamorous guest list threatened to provide some stiff competition.

Padel combines elements of tennis and squash and is generally played in doubles on an enclosed court, with its glass walls remaining part of the action.

More than 38 million people now play the game across over 170 countries, according to the International Padel Federation.
