Ricky Martin Says He Needs "Several Hours to Process" His Super Bowl Halftime Appearance
Jessica Alba was honored to be included in Bad Bunny’s casita.
After the Honey actress took part in the “DtMF” singer’s Super Bowl Halftime Show performance, alongside Pedro Pascal, Alix Earle, Karol G, Cardi B. and more, she emphasized it was “an honor to be part of such an extraordinary moment in history.”
“Joy you could feel,” Jessica detailed in a Feb. 9 Instagram post. “Pride you could see. A Beautiful love letter to Puerto Rico—and to all of America. Yesterday was bigger than a performance. It was Dignity. Inclusion. Unity. Representation. And Love."
The 44-year-old—who shares Honor, 17, Haven, 14 and Hayes, 8, with ex Cash Warren—went on to praise Bad Bunny (real name Benito Antonio Martinez Ocasio) for his ability to tell stories “rooted in his culture, his people and his truth."
“Yesterday those stories were centered on one of the biggest stages in the world,” she continued. “Watching him honor the diversity of our community gave me full body chills and was so emotional. Some of the most meaningful moments don’t need explanation or translation—you just feel them.”
And since Jessica got to be a literal part of Bad Bunny’s big moment, she noted that “yesterday was about joy—fully living inside of it.”
“When culture is honored instead of erased, when people are seen instead of sidelined, we become one,” Jessica added. “Above all, as Benito has said, ‘The only thing more powerful than hate is love.’ Love, joy, and unity—this is how we rise."
