Nicole "Snooki" Polizzi Shares Cervical Cancer Diagnosis

The Jersey Shore gang is ready to get crazy, get loud—one last time.

Nearly two decades after audiences were first introduced to the likes of Nicole “Snooki” Polizzi, Mike “The Situation” Sorrentino, Jenni “JWoww” Farley and Pauly D, MTV is saying goodbye to Jersey Shore Family Vacation—and the sendoff promises to be must-see TV.

In a teaser for the reality series’ upcoming final season, which premieres May 7, Mike teases a “next level” farewell with some major life moments for the group, including Sammi "Sweetheart" Giancola’s wedding to Justin May.

Fans can also expect many of the hilarious antics they’ve become accustomed to over the years. At one point in the trailer, Nicole—who recently shared her stage one cervical cancer diagnosis—linked arms and danced with an unnamed man as she exclaimed, “I have no bra on.”

But the conclusion of the long-running series may not be the cast’s last hurrah. Shortly after the 18-episode season was announced, the group hinted that they won’t be gone for long.

“Legends don’t retire — they reroute,” Nicole, 38, captioned an Instagram video featuring her costars. “The network changed. The legacy didn’t. Jersey Shore is forever. Just wait until you see what’s next.”

After debuting in 2009, Jersey Shore became an unexpected smash hit, running for six seasons and spawning several spinoff shows including The Pauly D Project and Snooki and Jwoww. The franchise also expanded globally, with international iterations like the U.K.’s Geordie Shore and the recently-launched Canada Shore.

Following the original show’s conclusion in 2012, Jersey Shore Family Vacation debuted six years later, reuniting the entire group while Sammi initially sat out the revival. However, she did eventually midway through season six in 2023, explaining that she was eager for a fresh start.

“I know there was drama and craziness and not all great times for me back then, but I’m hoping maybe this time around will be a little bit different,” she told Page Six at the time. “I’m more mature and I want to handle situations differently than when I was 22 years old.”
