Jeremy Clarkson looked as loved up as ever with girlfriend Lisa Hogan in rare snaps as the couple marked eight years since the day they first met.

Former actress Lisa, 51, took to Instagram on Sunday to give fans a glimpse inside her life with the former Top Gear host, 64, amid the pair's special milestone.

Jeremy could be seen sweetly wrapping his arms around his love as they smiled for a photo, with one seeing the pair on a boat while in another they were seemingly at a party.

While Clarkson's Farm fans usually see the pair working hard on their Oxfordshire farm, the couple looked happy and relaxed in the pictures as they enjoyed quality time together.

Captioning her snaps, Lisa penned: '8 years today I met @jeremyclarkson1'.

The couple, who work together on Clarkson's Diddly Squat farm, first began dating back in 2017 after being set up by friends at a Christmas party.

But far from falling in love at first sight, Lisa previously told how the TV star had to work hard to win her affections.

She told The Sun in June: 'I thought, "Ok, you've got a bit of a rep" - so he had to really court me!"

She added: 'He courted me for a solid three months!... he does make an effort to make me laugh a lot, which I really appreciate. And we do get on.'

Back in April, Lisa discussed her hopes of getting engaged to the outspoken  presenter.

And the pair chatted to The Sunday Times to discuss the show coming back where the interviewer recalled that the topic of proposing was brought up while the couple were out on a walk during an old episode.

At the time Jeremy said that he had a 'big surprise' for her and after she asked if it was a proposal, he pretended not to hear and instead showed her a fallen willow tree bursting back into life.

After she followed up about the proposal, he said: 'I'll think about the proposal, OK? I'm not ready yet.'

Discussing the exchange, Lisa has now said: 'I just thought I might surprise him.'

When asked if she had taken advantage of February 29 to do a leap year proposal, when women typically propose, she added: 'Jeremy doesn't think I proposed but he wasn't wearing his hearing aids, so no-one will know.'

Jeremy has been married twice before.

He wed his first wife Alexandra James in 1989. The couple were married for six months before they split the following year in 1990.

Jeremy went on to remarry as he found love with his second wife Frances Cain.

The couple were married for more than two decades before they separated and welcomed three children together including, daughters Emily and Katya as well as son Finlo.

Jeremy went on to say that despite the mystery drive thankfully not ending up in a home for the elderly, he quipped 'the day was coming'.

Writing in his The Sun column: 'It was my birthday this week and my girlfriend Lisa said she'd booked 'somewhere nice'.

'It all sounded lovely, but as we plunged further and further into the Cotswolds, and she still wouldn't tell me where we were going, I became consumed with a fear that she was taking me to a care home.'

Before adding: 'She didn't. But the day is coming'.
