Jennifer Lopez took to social media on Sunday to support Bad Bunny ahead of his Super Bowl performance.

The 56-year-old singer shared a throwback snippet from her Super Bowl LIV halftime show in 2020, during which her fellow Puerto Rican music artist, 31, joined her on stage.

She tagged Bad Bunny, real name Benito Ocasio, as well as Shakira and J Balvin.

Lopez added the hashtag, '#LatinoGangGang.'

In October she fiercely defended Bad Bunny over the backlash surrounding his halftime show after he was announced as the performer.

'I think it's wonderful people will get exposed to him who don't know him,' Lopez said on CBS Mornings. 'Just give it a chance!'

She continued: 'Music and art transcend languages, and he's done that more than anybody of any generation.'

Some critics, including President Donald Trump, have complained that the majority of Bad Bunny's discography is in Spanish.

When asked about the protests from people claiming they've 'never heard of' the Monaco hitmaker, Lopez pushed back, saying that the Super Bowl's purpose is to introduce artists to new audiences.

'The Super Bowl is great because it introduces you to people who didn't know you. I'm sure there were people who didn't know me or Shakira or weren't fans of ours,' she said, referencing her own 2020 halftime show.

She continued: 'It's an opportunity to show people who you are, what you're about, what you believe in. It's a big platform for artists. It's probably the biggest stage that you could hope to be on.'

The Bronx-born performer has been one of Ocasio's most vocal supporters amid mounting naysayers from conservative circles.

His selection for the coveted Super Bowl slot, produced by Jay-Z's Roc Nation, has drawn ire from Trump and his allies, who accused the NFL of being 'crazy' for choosing an artist who 'doesn't sing in English.'

Ocasio himself addressed the criticism while hosting Saturday Night Live in October, joking: 'You might not know this, but I'm doing the Super Bowl halftime show and I'm very happy – and I think everyone is happy about it, even Fox News!'

Bad Bunny was born in Bayamón, and was raised in the Almirante Sur barrio of Vega Baja, Puerto Rico.

His mother, Lysaurie Ocasio, is a retired schoolteacher and father, Tito Martínez, was a truck driver.

Although Lopez was born in New York, her parents, Guadalupe and David Lopez, are both native Puerto Ricans.

Last Sunday the Yo Perreo Sola artist made history as he became the first artist to win  Album of the Year with a Spanish-language project.

After his name was called by presenter Harry Styles, the singer-songwriter was moved to tears as he took a moment to stay seated with his hand covering his face.

He sent a powerful message in his acceptance speech as he declared: 'I want to dedicate this award to all the people that had to leave their homeland, their country, to follow their dreams.'

Earlier in the evening, while accepting Best Música Urbana Album for DeBÍ TiRAR MáS FOToS, he said, 'Before I say thanks to God, I'm going to say, ICE Out,' in reference to the Department of Homeland Security's ambitious immigration reform efforts.
