Jennifer Garner finally addresses plastic surgery after revealing her three kids begged her not to get a facelift

Jennifer Garner is getting refreshingly honest about cosmetic tweaks - and revealing her three children have strong opinions about her face.

The 53-year-old Alias alum opened up about everything from Botox to the possibility of a future facelift during a candid appearance on Kylie Kelce's Not Gonna Lie podcast on Thursday.

Garner - who shares Violet, 20, Seraphina, 17, and Samuel, 14, with ex-husband Ben Affleck - admitted she has experimented with injectables in the past, but said the results weren't for her.

'Of course, I've tried Botox and all that, but it takes very little to completely freeze my forehead,’ she explained. ‘And then I just feel so conspicuous, like I've got a walking billboard.’

‘I might as well get a tattoo of something, you know, across it. It's horrible. So, no, the Botox in the forehead, unfortunately, is not for me.'

But it was her confession about a potential facelift that truly raised eyebrows - with Garner revealing her kids have actually begged her to steer clear of surgery.

'My kids are like, "Mom, promise us you'll never get a facelift." And I say, "I am unlikely to rush toward a facelift,"' she said.

'And yet I refuse to make that promise because I am me today, and I don't know how I'm gonna feel.'

Still, the actress admitted she’s not immune to the occasional bout of insecurity when it comes to aging - even if she’s largely made peace with it.

‘I do, I have creasy wrinkles, and I'm just they're gonna have to just be there,’ she said frankly, before revealing her low-tech fix. ‘So sometimes I get bangs.’

Garner also made it clear that while she hasn’t gone under the knife, she’s not exactly avoiding the dermatologist’s office either.

‘So don't think that I don't have something in there because I haven't done surgery,’ she shared. ‘I haven't, I would tell you if I had. I haven't done any of that stuff.’

‘But once a year, I go see someone, and I'm like, I'm a pin cushion. I can't really tell the difference after because that's what I've noticed: The more you spend on a dermatologist doing a bunch of things to your face, the less you can tell that they've done it.

'And somehow, that's a good thing. I don't know why. But I will go pay them so much money to say, "I don't want to see it."'

And despite her own hesitations about certain treatments, Garner stressed she isn’t judging anyone who takes a different route.

‘I also think that anyone who wants to do whatever they wanna do, they look beautiful. They look beautiful,’ she said.

Garner’s candid reflections come as her ex Affleck recently offered rare insight into how they are raising their three children - describing the realities of growing up in the spotlight as ‘complicated’.

The Deep Water actor, 53, spoke to E! News about the pressures that come with fame and revealed the pair are careful not to steer their children toward Hollywood.

'You put something on your children when you have a public life and that's complicated,' he said. 'We really want to give them room to figure out what they want to do.'

He added: 'I wouldn't push them into that. They're brilliant and lovely and wonderful and we love them and we're proud of them. And hope that they don't waste their life acting.’

Affleck and Garner were married from 2005 until their split in 2015, finalising their divorce three years later.

Despite their high-profile breakup, they have maintained an amicable co-parenting relationship.

While Samuel and Seraphina are focused on school, eldest daughter Violet - now a student at Yale University - has carved out her own path in activism.

She recently delivered an impassioned speech at the United Nations calling for mask mandates and clean air initiatives in the wake of the Covid-19 pandemic.

Affleck’s remarks also arrive against the backdrop of lingering curiosity about his blended family dynamic.

Garner and Jennifer Lopez - who divorced Affleck in 2025 after three years of marriage - were noticeably not pictured together at the Golden Globes, prompting whispers of a rift.

However, the Daily Mail later reported there is ‘no drama’ between Lopez and Garner.

'They get along, they are cool with each other, there are no issues,' a source said.

'They don’t want to drum up headlines by posing together at an awards show, that would be awkward. They don’t want to create a fuss because it would be hard for the kids,’ the source added.

Lopez shares twins Max and Emme with ex-husband Marc Anthony, and insiders say all parties remain committed to keeping the blended family dynamic harmonious.

Violet is even said to have formed a close bond with the On the Floor singer, previously holidaying with her in the Hamptons.
