Jennifer Aniston's boyfriend Jim Curtis lists $1.5m NYC apartment after putting it up for rent and missing multiple payments

Jennifer Aniston's boyfriend Jim Curtis has officially listed his $1.5 million New York City apartment, months after putting it on the rental market, the Daily Mail can exclusively reveal.

The hypnotherapist, 50, who has been dating the Friends actress for a year, could possibly make a $250,000 profit on the two-bedroom, two-bathroom apartment, which is located downtown in the South Seaport district and boasts stunning views of the Brooklyn Bridge.

The $1,525,000 listing, which went live on January 27, comes months after the 1,200-square-foot condo was put on-again, off-again for rent.

The expansive apartment was advertised at $9,000 per month back in April 2025, but was removed just weeks later. It was listed again in June - this time for $10,500.

In November, it was removed again before going up for sale this week.

The property has seemingly been a financial difficulty for Curtis who paid off a lien in the amount of $29,538 on December 8. This lien was initially issued in March 2024, according to real estate records seen by the Daily Mail.

The listing comes months after the 1,200-square-foot condo, which is located downtown in the South Seaport district, was put on-again, off-again for rent

Years prior, he reportedly had trouble keeping up with the property’s common charges back in 2017 when he missed payments for March and February of that year, The US Sun reported.

The outstanding fees totaled $15,242 - but they were eventually resolved when a payment was made two months later.

The transformational coach had owned the property since he took over the deed in January 2015 for $1,277,904. He did, however, take out a $992,000 mortgage at the time.

His loft-like bachelor pad is described as 'blending charm with modern convenience' and features exposed bricks, a casement glass partition, with the building mere 'steps away from the iconic New York City waterfront.'

The listing could signal a major turning point in his relationship with Aniston, 56, who lives on the West Coast.

Curtis recently opened up about their romance when he joined the Today show to discuss his upcoming book, The Book of Possibility.

When asked how he met the Hollywood star, he said: 'We were just introduced by friends. That’s it. We found out that we had mutual friends and we started to just chat.'

He noted that 'it took a long time,' before they took their relationship to the next level.

Curtis opened up about his romance with Aniston on Monday's Today show, in which he revealed it has been about a year since they started dating

Today anchor Craig Melvin noted that the transformational coach was 'blushing' while discussing his romance with the actress

'We chatted for a long time and we became close,' he added.

As for how long they’ve been together, Curtis - who was 'blushing' per Today anchor Craig Melvin - said: 'A longtime, months now, almost close to a year.'

Meanwhile, Aniston owns a $21 million Bel-Air mansion in Los Angeles.

The 10,186-square-foot, midcentury modern mansion sits on a 3.27-acre lot and has seven-bedrooms and 11 bathrooms.

The Emmy Award winner is in the midst of upgrading her brand new $7.5 million home she purchased earlier this year, which is next door to her mansion.

Exclusive aerial images by the Daily Mail released in October show the pool – which was recently remodeled by the former owners – has been drained, stripped of its tiles and is now being completely filled in.

The surrounding grass and landscaping have also been torn out, and the eco-friendly solar panels, which once covered most of the roof, have been removed.

Building plans obtained by the Daily Mail suggest Aniston is eyeing up the new place as a guesthouse or an annex to her existing 8,500-square-foot property nearby, and creating an enormous compound.

Aniston shared a cozy photo with Curtis to celebrate his birthday in November. She captioned it, 'Happy birthday my love' with a heart emoji

Curtis also posted Aniston on social media when he shared a photo with The Morning Show star and captioned it, 'Some amazing things happened this year but it’s always the people who make it. Can’t wait to see what 2026 has in store… got a few surprises cooking'

Aniston and Curtis ignited romance rumors in July when they were seen on vacation in Mallorca, Spain, over Fourth of July weekend.

In September, he supported her at the season three premiere of her Apple TV+ drama The Morning Show, although the two didn't pose for photos together.

Aniston made their relationship Instagram official in early November when she shared a black-and-white photo of herself hugging him from behind.

She captioned the post: 'Happy birthday, my love. Cherished,' with a heart emoji.

Aniston was previously married to Brad Pitt from 2000 until 2005, and Justin Theroux from 2011 until 2017.

Although she has generally stayed private about her relationship in interviews, Aniston raved about Curtis in an interview with Elle in November.

'Hypnotism is one of the many things that he does. He's quite extraordinary, and helps many, many people,' the Horrible Bosses star said.

'He's very special, very normal, and very kind, and wants to help people heal, move through their trauma and stagnation into clarity. It's a beautiful thing to commit your life to.'

The Daily Mail has reached out to Curtis for comment.
